I'm glad I'm smart.
We have a paper due on November 17th in Biology. Basically, we read a sci-fi book, and write about the science behind it. She gave us the option of turning it in on the 5th and getting it back to correct. Only myself and one other person did...and boy am I glad I did.
I got a 50. Apparently it "wasn't...

I've been doing well in school lately (like a 95 on my latest math test!) so I treated myself to some stuff...
survival stuff.
I bought a flint striker off ebay, cheap.
I bought myself a Frost Mora knife. (Carbon steel blade, and the best knife you can get in the $12 price range.)
And I dropped the money on a Guyot designs stainless-steel water...

I'm at my girlfriend's house for the weekend, and we went for a walk down by the river, and we saw an OTTER!
Seriously. A river otter. I didn't even know we had those in CT.
It was awesome!

Be jealous. smile

So my mom and I stopped in to the gas station that Tim works at yesterday to feed her gambling addiction (scratch offs) and she bought two Stud Poker tickets. After losing on both, I had a feeling...so I went and bought the two after hers. I spent $6...
and won $60.

That was pretty cool.

So what the fuck is with so many companies having fat guy hate?
I see a lot of awesome t-shirts that I might want to buy, but when I check the sizes, they stop at an XL, or at most a 2XL. I'm a 3XL.
Same thing with LL Bean. They have an AWESOME coat that I want to buy for winter. It's flannel lined,...

Have you tried Carhartt jackets? They make stuff for hunters, so it's super good quality and very very warm. Also, they don't just have M, L, XL, etc...they actually have number sizes, including "big and tall" sizes for cuddly dudes. Check it out, if you get the chance.

I just saw something I didn't want to see...

Every morning I walk the same way home from work, and sometimes I see this big grey cat chilling outside, so I say hi to it, because I am one of those crazy people who talks to cats...

Well walking home tonight I found him dead in the road.
Sucks.
What's even worse is it was...

I am alone in the hotel right now, and it is awesome. No guests. No noise. Silence...only filled by the music of Enigma's "Return to Innocence".
Tranquility at it's best.

So Friday night was fun. Christine showed up dressed up in Medieval dress, corset included, and we went for a walk. We went to see this house that was famous for it's decorations...and it had...

Try not to get too uptight about your exes...Believe me, I understand what you're going through (I'm also 27 and have done very little traveling...heck, I haven't even gone back for post-secondary education!). You just have to live your life to make yourself happy, because you're only going to be miserable if you keep comparing your happiness to someone elses.

Plus, with divorce rates being what they are, what are they odds that they'll wind up fat, miserable and single with a herd of fugly children? wink

I continue to amaze myself...

Monday, I got a quiz back on factoring in Algebra. I got a 72.
I managed to get the HARDEST question, aka the question that "separates the men from the boys" (according to my professor), correct, but I screwed up all the fucking easy ones.
I was pissed at myself...
but now we're doing some CRAZY shit that takes like...a...

Once you put the time into seriously studying it's amazing the sudden progress that happens. It's like slogging through mud, and then all of a sudden you're a bullet train. Wild huh? Congrats on your successes! Keep at it biggrin

It's tough when you're forced to grow up all at once.
I know, I know, I'm 27...I should have grown up a long time ago...
but I've always had all my friends around to at least make the transition smoother...
now...I hardly see any of them.
Erin's wife is pregnant, so if we make plans to hang out and she's feeling even the slightest bit...

Don't feel too down life transitions like this all the time. Friends move in and out of our regular lives and the business of making a living frequently intrudes in relationships. Now is the time to find a few new local friends. Experiment with new places to unwind, try new experiences and you'll find new friends...and in time you'll find your old friends will be able to break free and seek you out from time to time, so in the end you will gain much if you take this opportunity. Hope this helps! I've gone through the same thing several times, and it's always rough but it doesn't mean you need to "grow up" biggrin

Today was interesting...
So I had a math test and a Biology quiz today, as well as a presentation in Bio lab that is 15% of our grade.
I studied all Tuesday night for math...and when quiz time came, my brain cramped up...
I left two questions blank, one half done...so yeah...that's a 70 at best...

Then I had my 2 hour break before Bio,...

So I got an 85 on my last math quiz. I'm happy with that.
But the creme de la creme was my biology quiz...
I got -drum roll-

I think it's safe to say I pwned the hell out of that quiz.

I think I may celebrate by buying myself Season 3 of How I met your Mother.
