It's tough when you're forced to grow up all at once.
I know, I know, I'm 27...I should have grown up a long time ago...
but I've always had all my friends around to at least make the transition smoother...
now...I hardly see any of them.
Erin's wife is pregnant, so if we make plans to hang out and she's feeling even the slightest bit queezy, he speeds off to her side. (Understandable, but still annoying...)
Tim works all the time...
Jay works all the time...
Mandy works all the time...
Chris...is busy with his full time job, full time school and full time woman...
Mike just started a third shift job and has school, so he's got a schedule like mine....
Basically I only hang out with my girlfriend, and that's once a week.
Sure, I have some new friends in college, but none of them are at THAT level. They're acquaintances that make school a little less lonely.
My online friends ie. here, and myspace, are cool, but they're not like Erin and Tim who I have known for 13 years, ya know?
Just sucks is all. I'll live.
I just wanted to vent a bit.

Don't feel too down life transitions like this all the time. Friends move in and out of our regular lives and the business of making a living frequently intrudes in relationships. Now is the time to find a few new local friends. Experiment with new places to unwind, try new experiences and you'll find new friends...and in time you'll find your old friends will be able to break free and seek you out from time to time, so in the end you will gain much if you take this opportunity. Hope this helps! I've gone through the same thing several times, and it's always rough but it doesn't mean you need to "grow up"
