On the way to the supermarket, and in a moment of boredom, I was thinking about the things that we consider to be intrinsic parts of our being, which are in really nothing more than parrot fashion learning.
English Sauna's are not mixed and most English women would find the idea of going naked in front of unknown men and women to be apauling. In Europe, its so common that people don't think twice about it and in France, even the toilets are mixed.
If you asked a typical English woman if it was natural for women to not want to go naked in public, I suspect that would agree with that statement, because she has seen nothing to contradict that. However, a woman in France may give an opposing answer.
It is so easy to confuse social conditioning with instinct.
Like wise, in Arabic countries, hetrosexual men can be seen walking down streets holding hands. English and American men would think that to be very odd, that would refuse to think that men would act that way, because they have been conditioned to think in a certain way, which is not really natural.
I regard attitudes that are shared amung all people, in diveerse culturs to reflect our true character, but attidues that differ greaatly between cultures are the result of social conditioning.
I wonder how much of the behaviour you mention is intrinsic to human nature and how much is due to social conditioning?

In England, "Personal Services" is a euthamism for something entirely different from acting
i know how you feel because thats the boat ive been in since high school... since before actually.
the only logical plan of action i see is: take the car, use it to commute to the least shitty job you can get, put up with the fact that they treat you like either a slave or a whore (depending on the job), save up, buy a better car, and go from there.
or you could always lease something cheap, that could solve the shitty car problem. but then, thats a whole other problem in itself
