Hi.
I suppose I'm back.
(thanks for cleaning up after the party... it looks good in here)
The past three days have been spent fighting with my dad about the car that I've been driving for the last year and a half. I've put about 50K mile on it. It's in need of some major repair and/or maintence. We won't know till someone who *knows* what their looking at gets under the hood to fix it.
He's refused for the last 8 months to fix the car, even though he owns the title and I've told him in every way possible that he needs to get it fixed. Now he wants to put it in my name and for me to pay the insurance on it. (I told him when he first handed me the keys a year and a half ago that I never wanted this car, and that I would use it as a tool but it would never be mine. Seriously I hate the car. Not to mention it's 12 years old.)
My problem is this. I don't want to own a broken car and am insulted that he'd give it to me and think it was a good gift. (there's no initial cost, and it'd probally get parked because there'd be no insurance on it.- See problem number two) We've been round and round about this. I don't want that car and particularly if it's broken.
Problem #2 is that I'm currently not working.
My views on work is that it's pointless and you're nothing more than slave labor for whatever company you're working for. The company doesn't want you to think or improve. they just want someone to do it their way and say what they want you to say and not how you wish to represent the company. Not to mention that even if you're working long hours and seven days a week, you can't make enough to actually live on and support yourself. I've experienced this. (See a few posts back) I know others who experience this. (The majority of humans actually)
Maybe my realm of experience is small, but any time I move out and get my own gig going it all goes to shit. (this has happened twice now.)
I'm not keen on going through that a third time. (I don't think I could stand it)
Problem #3 is that I feel like I'm defeated before I even get up. It's almost the thought of why even try? It's not gonna work anyways.
So yea.
This is why I'm not posting and why I'm not talking to anybody. (You really don't wanna be around me right now... trust me on that.)

I am not a good comedian, so I can't waork that on demand, but I did smirk when I saw that your Actor friends "Liars Inc" are listed under "Personal Serivces".
In England, "Personal Services" is a euthamism for something entirely different from acting
i know how you feel because thats the boat ive been in since high school... since before actually.
the only logical plan of action i see is: take the car, use it to commute to the least shitty job you can get, put up with the fact that they treat you like either a slave or a whore (depending on the job), save up, buy a better car, and go from there.
or you could always lease something cheap, that could solve the shitty car problem. but then, thats a whole other problem in itself
