There are few places where being an intelligent independant thinker is appriciated and enjoyed. This isn't one of them.

I thought that I'd found a place that wasn't stupidly petty... sigh.. I don't know why it bothers me so...

It's not so bad being intelligent; but if you add the independence - ooo, that's a bitch. I could probably count on one hand the places where that would be valued in these New-nited States.

i appriciate you...

Morning has broken. Like the first morning. Laughter has spoken like the first hmmmm... grace for the singing, grace for the morning, grace for them screaming... fresh from the world.

There are songs that you sing, that you only kinda know the words to and make up the rest... this is one of mine... what's one of yours?

from "Kokomo" by the Beach Boys:
"... way down to Kokomo.
Martin ink, that mon's a rotten sneak."

from "Don't Stand So Close" by Sting:
"... Just like that old man in
That big pineapple cart."

I met MasterCraftsman last night, who hopes you're doing well.
As do I! biggrin

Transposed from "reading lolita in teran" by azar nafisi...

Well, I went. I cleaned my room first for a good hour and half... putting things in some sembelence of order helped. A lot.

The gathering was good. Mellowness was there for the taking. And though I did not partake, the atmosphere seeped into my bones. Its now saturday afternoon and I'm wondering what happened to the sunrise and the morning... I've a feeling that...

I'me alive and well, but I've been quiet on here for a bit as you have notices. In fact, it makes me feel good that you did notice kiss kiss kiss

There have been a run of boozy occasions, which have given me some good times and some hangovers. Both of which have conspired to keep me away from SG.

Your gathering sounds like it was fun and I like your new profile photo. kiss kiss kiss

I had forgotten that I was supposed to get a visitor until today when I got to work... a quick conversation established not only that my visitor wasn't making the drive but that the petty arguement we had atleast a week ago apparently made him not want to speak to me again ever. Many words were exchanged, tears were shed and he's still not comming....

Note to self...

Don't get attached to the really neat people who are moving away. And don't fool around with them either. Bad jojo. ( and also hurt feelings... you know better than both)

Nah, fuck them while you have the chance. Then you'll at least have the memories...

I disagree! You can't live behind a protective shield . . . hoping you'll never get your feelings hurt. The people you meet and care for, are part of your life. Enjoy them while you can . . . and remember them fondly when they're gone.

This post comes to you from the record room of catham county courthouse.... and it will be short as time is little.

Simply put, the battle is for information- who has it, who needs it and what they are willing to pay to get it. Its the strongest commidity we have. Of course what you do with the information matters as well, but not nearly...

I think you're missing the point.

If all sixteen people living in the trailer, are making $204 per week . . . well then, its a goodly sum, isn't it? wink

Draft.

The democrats are bitching about walmart again. This time they're wanting the employees to be paid a living wage. My first thought is "you mean to tell me that six dollars an hour *isn't* living wage? I mean at forty hours a week, that's 240 dollars a week, take out 15% ($36) for taxes and healthcare, and tyou're taking home $204. four weeks in...

I spent a year living on $6.30/hr, working ~35 hours a week. That was about 3 years ago. It wasn't ideal but my standard of living was acceptable. I paid my rent, paid my car insurance, ate fine, and went out occasionally. I was broke a lot, but we're talking about a living wage, not a living-well wage.

People need to learn how to make better choices. People also need to learn the glories of beans and rice.

and the Republicans have done wonders in stopping the minimum wage from being raised and elimianting overtime, might drive costs up
