I interviewed a guy this morning. He had nine years of cnc experience at Thomasville Furniture. So more than me. But I quickly realized it was about nine years spent doing the same thing I could teach anyone to do in a week. To me he was not an asset, someone I could lean on when stuff got difficult. So I said thank you we'll be in touch. I just say this so you can see the other side of the fence. Money never came up. I make sure guys under me get PAID, and that they love what they do and are good at it.

While you are correct that a citizens militia could never stand against a modern army, one look at the current political situation in both Iraq and Afghanistan should prove conclusively that governments have every reason to wish their citizens no access to even hunting rifles and dynamite.
Of course by the time those guns come out, it's far far far too late for happy endings. The best you can hope for is a lot of suffering before a pyhrric victory.
