does it hurt as much as they say?

I was resolving to do the same thing, except I keep finding excuses to put it off until "tomorrow" (or until I get free money from the personal hygiene fairy to blow on hair removal).

For the past two days, I've had Debbie Gibson's 'Shake Your Love' stuck in my head. whatever

“Do you know why I stop and stare
And smile when you walk by
And how I call you up at night
I hang up the phone and I cry
If I never got to know you so well (I knew you well)
Maybe I would be fine
Baby you know that I can't tell
Why you should be (you should be) you should be mine oh”

My back feels trashed. blackeyed

What should I do? Any legitimate advice is appreciated. I'm holding off on my crazy exhausting workouts for a few days, but I might do some Pilates for stretching.

Debt just seems like a bunch of numbered hieroglyphics at times, doesn't it?

I look at these bill things, and sometimes it feels overwhelming. However, over the weekend I did some calculations, and realized that once you break it down, there really isn't that much to fear.

Last night, I was at Borders books for a couple of hours, perusing all sorts of sections. The...

i don't think i had my hair cut until i went to school. when i was a young kid i had really cool long hair. some times i find a picture or two of me like that in my mom's old photo albums n'stuff. i miss the feeling of the longer hair on me. or maybe i just miss the lack of socialization that it represented.

The last time I saw the Pixies, it was on Sept. 8th,1989. They were playing with Love and Rockets and the Cure at Dodger Stadium.

I had recently turned 15, and as a birthday present, a friend got us tickets for 7th row CENTER. Perhaps one of the best concerts of my lifetime, anyway.

Fast forward to last night, September 23rd. Greek Theater. 15 years...

Seen the Pixies three times in the last few months - Coachella and both nights at the Greek. Met Charles/Frank/Black backstage. It was a beautiful thing. Hearing "Winterlong" twice was cool, too.

Here is a disclaimer for the following link:

It is not work-safe, and you should probably adjust the volume. Don't turn it off completely, because it's an integral part.

You don't know anything about me because I don't know you so I'll bet you don't know that...I, when I was five or so, got so sick that I threw up and had diarrhea in my bed at the same time. I managed to get to the bathroom, but all of it got everywhere and then I didn't wake my parents up because I didn't want to bother them, so I tried to clean it up and went back to bed. The same bed.

Mine was grosser than yours. biggrin

I'm cranking Ministry's album 'The Land of Rape and Honey'....

Thanks for the absinthe last night, Trilobyte.

Aspects of this entry are taken from an email I sent not long ago....

dreams of a meaningful existence. Don't snicker, you know what I mean, and it's not in the delusionaI 'I can...

"Sharing that with someone else. Or at least being with them long enough so you can pretend that they feel the same way.
The same could be said for love. Have I been a casual love user and have never even know it until now? Well, between drugs and love, I certainly know which one I am more skilled in.

you summed up what I have been feeling a lot lately.

just wanted to say hey. I am sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you last friday. other events to come.

Stop by and say hey sometime.

All people are different and it kind of boggles the mind to think that two unique individuals can find some kind of total balance with one another. In the end I think it is when the two people find the way to overlook each others faults in favor of their good points and tough it out, while still disturbing each other a bit in the ways the ones that dont work out do as well.

Nothing is perfect, not even that 'perfect feeling'. What we love/like/enjoy/are attracted to at the beginning becomes grating and annoying in a years time. Plus, we gain extra annoying things to go along with it. You have to evolve and make new things as time progresses. I think.

It's give and take. You have to give AND take, if it becomes imbalanced one of the sides crumbles. Give to much and smother, take to much and dry them out. And vice versa.

Well, I hope whatever is going thru your head works itself out and you end up better for it.

Do you like Fig Newtons? I like them, and I like those stupid Nutter Butters, too. I like a lot of cookies, homemade, store bought, fun fun. It's because I do not like cake icing I think.

Frosting, go to hell.

What is your favorite sweet snack and why?

If you have never seen THX 1138, then I suggest you remedy that. It's George Lucas' first film, which was adapted from a short.

It played last night at a theater with an absolutely gynormous screen, and even though I'd seen the movie a handful of times before, there were so many subtle nuances I noticed this time. It was also the director's cut,...

I'm not sure if it made it in the US but Human Traffic is fun if you were ever into dance music in the 90s.
I love Ealilng Comedies so try watching The Lavender Hill Mob or The Lady Killers or I'm Alright Jack.

I just noticed you've got the Warp Vision DVD on your wishlist. I've got it on order from Warp where you will also get extra artwork and some kind of piece by Chris Cunningham. Have a look.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful! love

I wish it would stay cloudy and overcast, but the net tells me that it's going to be mostly sunny with a high of 82. Bah.

The heat is lost on me, and it still makes me wonder if I am an LA native or not.

There is so much that I want SLASH need to learn.

Is it terrible that I do not have faith in myself that I can finish anything? Call it lack of attention span, call it laziness, call it whatever, but it seems to be my typical M.O. I'll pick up a subject or skill with great fervor, and eventually abandon it for something else that...

can totally see where your coming from. i didn't used to stay with one thing long, until i found scuba diving. which is the only thing i find that i'm always interested in.
i think it can be both an asset, and a hinderence. an asset as it shows your a multi talented person. like, you can play the piano (don't know if you can but will use it for an example), but you may not know how to write music, or read music well. so therefore, you can use that skill to play music to people, even if it is songs that are already written. but then it's a hinderence as you may not be able to get anywhere professionally due to not fully knowing everything. hope that makes sense. i don't normally make sense lately blackeyed .

p.s. your new profile pic deffinatly reinforces my view that you should do a set. go on, go on, go on. GO ON (you probably haven't seen father ted have you) biggrin .
nikki_darling:
wow, I could have written that myself!
Starting "things" is always easier for me than finishing them. I started school again a day ago, and I already am counting down days and hours until I can get out of there.....
whatever

and knowing a "little bit about many many things" I have to believe is far more interesting, fulfilling, and stimulating than knowing lots and lots of just a coupla things.
