The new low carb revolution Ben and Jerry's sucks. I have a $100+ a month Ben and Jerry's habit and I was looking forward to cutting down on my sugar intake. I think they forgot to mention that the carbs are the tasty part! biggrin

Hey if you guys are coming up to BC for the art in the park tomorrow, my friend/neighbor Dave is having some folks over & cooking hot dogs around noon. You & the wife have a formal invitation (well as formal as a hot dog lunch can be). I should be there, but definately will if you're coming - give me a ring. When the fuck are B&J bringing back my Goddamn coconut almond fudge chunk? F them, they're keeping all the carbs for themselves the greedy bastards. Let's capture them, tie them up and shove rice cakes down their throats until the skinny one gets fat and the fat one gets skinny.

I really don't like the wind. Maybe it's a vata thing. I was all set to do a grip of yard work and it's just too windy for me. I might do a little this afternoon if it calms down. There is something wrong with my grass. I don't know if it's diseased or just too early in the season and I'm being impaitient. The...

The Coolest part of our trip was a bike ride down the blue mountain. It was a two+ hour bus ride. They took us up to the top of the mountain, gave us bikes and let us ride 18 miles down a country road, through the clouds, through the rain forest, past the coffee plantations, past waterfalls. At the bottom we swam at the base...

Dude, I've already got about 2million books to read, but I'll put Dry on my list.
I'm currently reading "Mindfullness with Breathing" by Buddhadasa Bhikku, and then I've got Hardcore Zen to read, as well as "What the Budda taught us", and something by Bhante Henepola Gunaratna, the name of which escapes me right now.

I admire the excercise. I'll have no part in that. Seems excercise may sting some.
Take it easy,

The night before we were supposed to leave we got a call at 1 am from our friends at the airport. "where are you, why aren't you here?" I start frantically searching for the itinerary and it turns out that mrs. dickvegas had am and pm mixed up so we missed our plane. We got to the airport an hour late and it cost us...

Before i Join the sobriety group. I Just wanted to stop bye and say hello. I will more then likely be a lurker and just learned from everyone... like the signs and ways to stop. I've made a concious decision to stop smoking (cigs) and to stop drinking... more out of health. But alcholism does run in my family. any of that make sense?

Four days of work and I'm off to Jamaica. I can't wait. I just want to lie there and do nothing. That will probably last a day with my personality and then I'll probably over do it on the "fun" activities. Ok I at least have to scuba. biggrin smile

I was washing dishes tonight and wondering: Do ya think Emeril is over in one of his kitchens washing dishes tonight?? How about Wolfgang, or Todd English or Charlie Palmer? I mean jeez we weren't even that busy. WTF. I'm sure they would if their restaurant needed it but somebody's head would probably roll. I don't mind, it keeps me humble but we were only...

For the first time in five years I can fit two cars in the garage. We had a garage sale, took stuff to charity and the rest to the dump. Just like that show on tlc. That was just the stuff in the garage though. Next....the house. Still, it's not 100% but it looks great. I'm so proud of my little hoarding woman. She gave...

My mom came to visit and it was an interesting 24 hours. We caught up and tried to re-connect. She seems sorta fragile. She hasn't been to vegas in about 8 years and was surprised by the growth. Vegas in a word: "NEXT" whatever

I hope I am not speaking too soon but some more of the drama is lifting. Another problem child quit tonight. I love the guy but he wasn't happy there. An old chef friend of mine taught me: You help 'em stay... or you help 'em go. ARRR!!!

Our problem child just quit, too. Yet another recent culinary school grad with a bad attitude that thinks he knows it all already. Hope your kitchen is back to normal soon.
