I could have helped with the pics in the journal thing too, but it looks like you already have good advice.

just upload a picture from your computer to your sg picture section, you allready have a bunch there so i assume you know how.
then right click on the pictures in your gallery to do that thing so it shows up in the journal.

you shall get through it, it wont be easy but you can do it.
