So I decided to look at the regional section to see if there was anything going on around the mid west SG party wise. There was a thread that was a few months long about getting together in Chicago which could be doable if it happens but for the most part all of the threads were a year or so old and any body that...

What a super chill day. I had to go to my sister in-law's grand parents house to pick up some of her stuff which was heavy but comical. I had never met her grandma before and she was a hoot. I had lunch at my favorite diner. I bought ms. Sun the metronome that she needed for her mando lessons. Can you believe that a...

Tonight I had my tasting. I made buffalo meat balls with a Maker's Mark sauce and some brie and berries in puff pastry appetizers, a mixed green salad with strawberries feta and sunflower seeds and balsamic vinaigrette. Main course was ancho marinated pork tenderloin with a glaze made out of reduced Hornsby's cider with roasted red potatoes that I seasoned up and snuck a little...

Had my interview today. I have a tasting with the board on the 21st to sell myself and show my food off. This lady is even into doing a series of friday night foods from around the world buffets or specials. That is so up my alley but I'm not sure how much Pontiac will let me get away with. I'll push it a little...

I underestimated how much my daughters (7 +3) would like corned beef so I didn't end up making my rueben egg roll yet. If you have never made egg rolls before it is pretty simple. You just roll them like closed end burritos and seal them with a little water. Dice your corned beef fine and just lightly saute it with your finely shredded cabbage just to soften it (salt pepper garlic etc.). If you are not handy with a knife you can cheat and by a bag of pre- shred at the store. The mustard beer sauce I haven't made yet but I'm going to reduce a good dark beer by half and wisk in a little grain mustard until its good. That movie was way to dark for my girls they lost interest with in twenty minutes and I actually fell a sleep the first time I tried to watch it with them. I have made it through now but it was a little disappointing since it was one of my childhood favorites. Even the joyous wild parts were subdued and the whole film was just grim. Oh well I really dug the pics in your new blog I envy your scenery. The wife and I lived in New Mexico, Colorado and South Dakota now that we are back on the prairie flat just isn't cutting it anymore. Have Fun!

It took three tries but I figured out how to post a you tube song. I really dig this song. We have started playing it and it is fun. Tomorrow I have my final interview with the lady from Pontiac. I am ready to know what is going to happen with this. The wife has crashed early so I am left to prowl SG and...

I am once again in negotiations for a new job. This one has been months in the making but they are finally ready to make me on offer. The guinea pig was a hit. It may never get to use its cage. Sunday was just a great day. We chilled and hung out all day. For dinner we ordered a shload of indian food, lamb Vindaloo, chilli chicken, chicken makhani, samosas, naan, basmati rice, everything the girls eat off the buffet except the mango lassi. Omg. I could eat indian everyday. If I...

It has been a crazy week. Thursday we tried to go see the toothfairy movie. They cancelled our showing so we had to watch the Frog princess movie. It got all screwed up and started 40 minutes late so we got free passes to go again so we will try the toothfairy again this week.
Saturday I worked fourteen hours. We served six courses to...
