I received a letter today. Not in the mail, but a casual hand delivery as I was joining a friend for dinner. He said I couldn't read it until I was home, so I didn't. Of course, I always have to read everything he writes me at least thrice, it is deep, dense and always very moving. Every time, I want to laugh, and every...

kickass! congrats on the job. hope it is worthy of you.

conversations are never really just the words you say. i get the feeling sometimes when i'm with her that we're both just reading lines from a script that was written a long time ago and has been acted out countless times since then, just in different places and times and wearing different faces.

and yes that's cruel, saying you got a job and leaving it at that. unless you're doing something awful like standing outide a chick fil-a in a giant rooster costume handing out flyers. actually now that i write that out it sounds like the shit...i wonder if they're hiring?

... and then she realized that she would never have exactly what she wanted, and she would just have to live with that, happy or no.

She always told herself that there was no need to settle, that there was always something better to be had, but what she really wanted, she found, was something unattainable.

i was actually wondering about the tatoo over your right breast...if it was somehow modeled after your own...it is quite beautiful

that story that you typed for your entry ...is it you, or are you writing something as you go along?

i ask, because i want to write a story that a friend and i will then make drawings for, a graphic novel...and i was wondering what in your opinion makes a good story...
i write some myself, but have been accused of being pretentious...which i am still rather unclear what it means and all...
from what you have written in your profile i get the feeling you write quite a bit...sorry if all these questions are a bother...
i would appreciate the help though...
ps. - I see you are a fan of train 999, the cartoon?...i remember it from when i was a kid...in spanish, although i think it was called princess...something. a very sad and beautiful cartoon...anyways, thank you for your time.

I survived, and Fried came through as usual. Unfortunately he caught Divide and I playing "who would you rather fuck" from across the room. I didn't think we were THAT obvious. There was a guy who drank giant cans of beer. Sapporo, I think. That was suitably Ghetto. I liked him.

The house doesn't smell too badly. We ended up with some bad tequila, and...

*snort* That's the best part about geeks coming over...they all smell like meat products for some reason. Or maybe it's the Eternal Barbecue (TM) that does it....
velvetkither:
my house was smellin bad for a while, and i couldnt figure out what it was, then suddenly i realized i was farting a bunch. it was bad.

The geeks are coming over. They stink up the house and drink all my ones and ignore me.

'cept for Fried. He's always good to me.

I have discovered something about myself. I am no longer interested in lingerie. I want functional underwear. I don't want lace or sea foam green or itty bitty panties with next to no crotch and I certainly don't want tiny elastic garter belts with four little plastic garters. Whatever happened to the glory days of underwear? Girdles and long line bras and fully fashioned stockings...

I hate lacy underwear and think lingerie is way over-rated and is generally overkill. I like regular cotton undies and a t-shirt or tank top.

I can't solve a Rubik's cube, but my housemate can. After a certain point he doesn't have to look at it. I never took the time to bother to learn.

I live to see your bouncing flab.

Do I dare disturb the universe?

---------------------------------

I saw her standing there
on a corner not so far away
perfection shrouded
in shades of black and white and gray
and now I know
I need her and such
but if I give in now
the universe explodes at our touch

and now I'm caught betwixt the choice of
what is wrong or right
do I...

Still jobless. Ow. It's so... awful. The searching, I mean. It's not even like my standards are high... I'm just not a nurse. I spent hours yesterday pouring through the classifieds, visiting company websites, checking at temp agencies. Ugh.

I suppose that's about all. I didn't leave the house yesterday. I may leave today, but probably only to go downstairs and mail my resume... icky...

Being without a job is quite awful. Done it enough times to know I don't want to do it again.

Leaving the house is overrated, I swear. OK, it's not, I'm just rationalizing.

I was waiting for that one. wink

I'm trying to put all my stuff away. Verdict? Too much stuff. But I love my stuff so much! The worst part was discovering another box of clothing. All my clothes had *just* fit... ugh.

I've basically just sat around all day. I managed to sleep in until 9, which was a triumph, and I finally shaved after what... two months it must have been....

Ah, so you mean the Rube Goldberg-esque system I just employed in order to pull some stills for you was unneccesary! I'm all angry now. (iMovie suddenly gave it up with the last update, and no longer works, so I had to cobble something together) Anyway, I have a couple pics with better light, if you want 'em.

You know, I bet most people from the US who go to the UK have no idea what a lot of the signs in the UK are talking about. I was noticing a sign that contained the word "alight". It's a perfectly good word but no one over here knows what it means so we invent words like "deplane". Silly.

Oh yeah, and the other...
