THE BLOOD TRAVELS

4) How quickly it had all passed by yet they seemed to be moving so slow. No children no home not even a pet. Perfect. For them. At last that's what they thought. They had there moments of doubt, the what ifs, What if we had a house? A Suzy or a Billy, a dog or a cat? But in those moments they took comfort in the fact that their was surly a couple somewhere with two kids, boy and girl, a dog and a cat in a nice big house that thought, what if? What if we had no children, no pets, no house. We would be free. Now there's the interesting point. It doesn't seem to matter any which way. Your house bound or your not but, for some reason, and most would agree. Not owning a house or a dog or a cat or a child is associated with freedom. They thought about that,
and thought. They certainly didn't feel free. The felt bound to the choice of no kids, no dog, no house. However they are reminded that they did have a cat about fifteen years ago. They just called her kitty. That was nice but she (the cat) ran away, or escaped depends on your point of view. Either way kitty was free, they were free. Free to do what? Free to have a child, buy a house and get another cat or perhaps a dog. Is that what men and woman lay their lives down for. At the least that's what they thought that they'd thought.
