THE BLOOD TRAVELS
3) Could it be possible that this was all a big mistake? The blood on his
fingers had dried and crusted. A chalk like substance filled the corners of his mouth. Driving into the rising sun kept his eyes from closing. The
previous night's events raced through his mind faster than the car could
drive. He tried to convince himself that he never meant to hurt anybody. But in his hearts of hearts he knew that wasn't true. Besides for what ever reason deep down inside he had a serious distain for most folks. He knew for a fact he wasn't crazy and that's what made it so hard. If they ever caught up with him they'd say he was crazy, that was for certain. Heck he wished he were. But he wasn't and they asked for it, practically begged. Truth be told he almost felt like he had served his purpose on this earth, nothing else was left. All he could do now was keep driving into the sun waiting for the next sign; the ocean was less than a week away.
