'take care of you'? c'mon, love, that's something little kids say, isn't it? or maybe i've just forgotten what it's like to have any human give a shit about my well-being. i've been screwed over by everyone i ever knew- hell, when i still lived at home, even both my parentshave seperately told on a number of occasions that they they wanted me to die, to be free of the burden of my existence. ah whatevs, people are immature- especially adults. sometimes i feel ancient- you and i are actualy old enough to remember, even if as kids, a lot of the 80's trends people reference today that they weren't even born yet to be aware of as they began- like stormy; but she's cute, like you, and she has a kind of balls-to-the-walls intensity in the way that she lives, and i admire that, just like you have an open heart and a giving spirit, which i admire maybe even more. i guess generally speaking, i'm not really am fond of most humans. i'm sorry love, i guess it sometimes astonishes me the level of kindness or interest in anything having to do with the welfare of others that you have. you're the only SG I can think of that with nearly every entry poses a question for other people comment on (i mean, there must be others that do this as well, if only sometimes, but insofar as the journals i tend to visit it isn't a common practice).

"self-awareness" gets you hot? jesus christ love- that's the very cross of life for me. to put a twist on a familiar phrase, i firmly believe that the unexamined life is the only kind that's worth living- the big picture always reveals the utter stupidity of everything to me- and i dwell on it far too often. what a world- so cold, so empty, so pointless. but still, people like you serve as an inspiration to the rest of us. don't you ever change sweetie- keep doing what you're doing...

kisses,

aleXander

p.s.- i clicked that link to that friend of yours and shortened the url to find his music- that's a great fuckin' mix, i do a similar type of thing.

kiss

there are helicopters buzzing around my house this morning. and while i kept flashing back to the last time this was happening, i didn't make the connection until just now.

it's the anniversary of the day we invaded iraq. where were you, and what were you doing a year ago today. how did you feel?

i was horrified, and frightened, and disgusted. i awoke to...

I was at home with my parents. It must have been spring break. We watched the news which just had endless pictures of tanks driving through the desert, and the people sitting in the middle of the busiest road in town all night. We talked about taking them cookies. I wished I were doing something, but never managed to leave the house.

I was at work, arguing with the irritating, overbearing, overweight, under-educated redneck about why Bush sucks. What made me soo sad that day was the realization that well over half the population of this country is just like this retard. I vowed to become politically active in 2004, and sure enough, I just sent my first check to the Kerry camp last week.

Next on the agenda is organizing a Rock n Roll Rally for the Dems of West Michigan, to get the young people to vote in some decent people not only on the national level, but here in WEst Michigan, too. I'm sick and tired of being oppressed by war-mongering whores to the dollar.

and from superstring theory i went on last night to dream about...

leg warmers. yes...a whole store of leg warmers and they were the real deal and all nicely woven and full length above the knee and i was picking out bright pink and trying to decide between light or dark purple. and i was very very happy.

you know. maybe i just try too...

i need to learn how to make leg warmers...

Life is like a store of leg warmers. Forrest said it and I believe it. Leg warmers are good. I think that style left the world of the cool way too early. Cut down in it's prome like Courtney Love (did she ever have a prime?) who knows.

I didn't get the Wolly Mammoth thing, I was heavily drugged on Fruit Loops and string chees at the time. Those damm pushers at Kroger, the cops really ought to do something about them.

so a conversation i was having with turtleegg604 about superstring theory reminded me of this thought i had when i was about 7 or 8. i was sitting on my bed thinking about the universe, and space, and existence....and somehow got on this train of thought that took me into territory i just could not comprehend. this question came up...KINDOF about the universe, and where...

sorry to hear that

Man, at 7 years old I was wondering what container my GI Joes were in. That was the ultimate dilemma for me. Time and space in the Universe wasn't really in the forefront. Cobra was taking over the coffee table and I needed Duke and Lady J to come save the stack of coasters from world domination.

Like the Mastadon by the way. I was out of town until yesterday so got it today. I cut and pasted a picture of Arnolds head on it. biggrin

after an excruciating emotional blowout fri evening-saturday morning, in which my head was gripped by this gigantic claw of fear with talons of doubt and i was left feeling like someone had taken an old fashioned manual lawn mower to my heart and gut, i then went on to have an absolutely fabulous saturday! eesh.

I've been so busy with family and job related stuff, that I haven't nearly been able to spend enough time working on art projects...it's all good, I've just been busy as nuts. I actually have a half dozen or so members on the site who are awaiting instructions for my next batch of projects. I often work remotely with collaborators. My only problem is, I haven't been able to figure out exactly what my next project is going to be!!

spring is springing...have you noticed?
there is a wonderful cherry tree in a community garden, right outside our bathroom window...and even tho it is the concrete jungle, i still see a surprising amount of wildlife antics. last year there was a male starling (black bird with a yellow beak and speckled shiny feathers) who was yodelling his heart out every morning. as i listened, i...

I had a baby starling for a time, she sure was squaky! i love spring too! Little blue flowers. There was a fire on the hill across from my house last year and that hill is flourecent green right now! Everything is lovely! love
delirium_faerie:
yeah, georgia still hasn't quite made up its mind about spring. it's spring for a little bit, then it snowed, then it's summer, then it gets cold. i guess it'll get back into spring at some point.

i love when you get that first hint of spring in the air. it's still cold, but you can just feel everything starting to wake up. and then the birds start singing all the time. and the flowers start poking up. it's great until the rivers of pollen hit. it's like being in the middle of a giant plant orgy and i don't want to be invited!

i'm only going for a couple of days to wish my mom a happy 60th birthday. it's a surprise. so, yes it's hawaii, but i was born and raised there, so for me it's just going home for a couple of days to spend time with the family. i got new tattoos too, so i can't go swimming or do much sunny type stuff. but it will be nice to get away. i'll send warm thoughts your way.
