So.... I definitely just saw Matt Smith in our local Co-op.

Accents are a funny thing: despite my best efforts, occasionally my Brooklyn accent bleeds into my speech. I adore British accents, though: in the US you'll notice that the entertainment industry seems to equate them with stuffiness and genius level intelligence. Kind of nasty stereotyping, I think. What kind of stereotypes do British have of Yanks?

My advice. Stop thinking about all the reasons why you SHOULDN'T go and just do it, because the more you put yourself in less-than-comfortable situations like this, the more comfortable they eventually become. Worrying about every possible outcome is only setting yourself up for failure, and in the end you'll still end up beating yourself up over the fact that you couldn't talk yourself into going. Trust me, just do it.

I've done some of these - and others that aren't on the list! Personally, I recommend picking a direction and driving. Stick to local/back roads. When you come to an intersection flip a coin or roll an appropriate-sided die and see where you end up. So far, it's taken us to Kentucky, West Va, and North Carolina.
