Oh what a day. I was awakened by a call from my son's school that he had been hit by a car. 
SO they proceed to tell me he is fine just a scratch, but would not let me talk to him. I asked if the driver was freaked out and the nurse said I guess she was very sorry.

my god, I am so sorry. My mother in law just passed away on Saturday. Whatever you say, just make sure that you say it. It is terrible when you regret something that you should have said or done. Even if you babble for an hour then say goodbye I am sure that it will be what your dad needs to hear and what you have to say.

It depends on who they were. My father knows I love him (I hope!), so I think I'd talk inanities and cry incessantly. But my mom (who was a much bigger influence)....I don't know what I'd say. I think I could do no better than telling her that I loved her.

Hey - have you ever tried making baba ghanoush - it tastes a lot like hummus, only with eggplant instead of chick peas - it's a bit more of a pain, but if you get really good, skinny eggplants, it can taste AMAZING. I have a basic 4 ingredient recipe, but I'm sure you can find plenty online.
