I am on the verge of something creative, just not sure what or when.
I have been watching documentaries on older photographers/artist, like Helmut Newton, Sam Wagstaff, Robert Maplethorp, and will be seeing some lost work of Diane Arbus in a few weeks.
It makes me want to go in another direction...

Looks like a good time was had by all.
I would ask you to take me to NYC but my wife might get upset......

Being single at any age sucks, when you don't want to be single. I'm balanced on that thin line between wanting to be single, and really wanting to have someone special and important in my life.
Why does it seem like Men jump through hoops to get " the GIRL" and once he gets her all he can do is concentrate on all the other women he doesn't have?
There are quite a few women out there who do the same thing - I've been burned by a few of them. I don't know why these people are the way they are, but it sucks. Fortunately, there are also plenty of men and women who DO know how to appreciate what (or who) they have.
I'm still looking for mine, however.
For now, take the opportunity to get as much out of being single as you can. Spend some time living life on your own terms, with no compromise. Show life who's the boss!!
And if none of my advice helps, pet the puppies . . . "happiness is a warm puppy"
