I did that actually. I was a grave digger (pays rather well cause it is hard to get people to do it), but quit to study theology.

Depends on what you mean by flipping out. I did some crazy things as singer in my old band "Erogene Toner" (Erogenous Tones). I also was an actor and entertainer for a while, making a fool of myself in public. Late Saturday Night Acapella Singing with my friends in the streets of Stavanger, may also count. (We were good singers though)

Duh! My sceleton is dissolving, I suffer from severe pain 24/7, and as a result of that I have a chronic depression + a lot of other ailements to many to mention. You bet I would change it all!

if you are so positive you can do that fear factor shit- you have to go on the show already!! that $ could so change your life. i couldn't do most of that stuff.

that's sad about yr hair, but i'm sure it still looks lovely! i know 2 people who recently had their hair chopped off after growing it so fucking long. they purposely grew it as long as possible so they could donate their hair (to make wigs for female cancer victims).

Okay, here goes.

People are flaky now, due to the fact that media and our culture as a whole has encouraged a sense of instant gratification that is unhealthy. In essence, no one understands the merits of delayed gratification anymore...that is, good things come to those who wait...they want things instantly or not at all.

You are not alone in your frustration. The problem is that we have a culture that in its insistence to make as much money as possible has exploited the base desires and motivations of humanity to further its own selfish ambitions...without realizing the long-term consequences of said actions.
