Well I think that's quite enough of that love nonsense, I don't know what came over me there. I like this thing I read about Godel -
On exhibit is a collection of the intellectual paraphernalia that Goedel evidently assembled to bring with him to a September 1949 therapy session with his Trenton psychiatrist, Dr. R. Blister Kent. Goedel put together a number of thoughts... Read More
For me there is not much difference between mathematicians and musicians especially the great composers. So it is easy for me to see them both blended together in one person.

Today I saw some incredible things in an exhibition in the gallery space for the informatics department at the university here. It was called 'Are we human?' and it was about the relationship between the environment and intelligent life and human invention in the age of informatics. One of the most amazing works was this machine called the 'Perpetual Storytelling Apparatus'!
The 'Perpetual Storytelling Apparatus'... Read More
Two things: What would happen to the voice machine if I started singing the immortal Duran Duran classic Girls on Film? Secondly, I'm going to start burying all my shit as soon as possible so the Aliens find it 3 million years from now. If only I could perfect the Star Wars technology of Jabba the Hutt and freeze myself in Carbonite.
I had a dream last night that I was holding a pot with lots of plants in it and they were growing really fast and becoming very tall as I held them. There were three green plants in the pot and two others that were dry and woody with white silvery threads and seeds and they were all moving rapidly as they grew. This is... Read More
Every so often over the course of several years I'd have this strange dream where a gateway from this world leading elsewhere would open in an upstairs room.
The last time it occurred tried (and was able to!) stay within the dream while attempting to make my way to this portal. Became confused when a wall blocked my path, but backtracked, entered one of the bedrooms, and came out of the dream while approaching my goal.
I'd never to my knowledge sleepwalked before, and where I ended up at first didn't make any sense - about four feet in front of, and a bit to the right of a window. Then it hit me ... the upstairs had originally been two bedrooms at either end of the house while the middle comprised a wide aisle with "cubbyholes" on either side - call them "stoop-in" closets - and I was standing directly in front of where the door on the north side cubbyhole had been.
I dream fairly often, usually don't remember them, but when I do - boy, are they doozies.
I often have very vivid dreams. Sometimes they form along story and, when I wake up, it gets broken but, when I fall asleep again, the story recommences. Sometimes I can wake myself up when I know I am in a dream.
I had a dream I was in a plane. I was watching an air steward hand out pillows. Suddenly I felt anxious. I stood up. The steward, who was wearing a pale blue uniform, told me the seat belt light was still on, but I headed for the cabin. "You can't go in there," she said, but I opened the door, only to see there was no cabin, just empty sky and clouds. I gasped and turned. I was crying. The air steward, who was Charlottle Gainsbourg, put her arms around me and said: "It's going to be okay. It's going to be okay." Then I woke up.
