I love my dear friend Cheiko back home, up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Twice within the past year, she has surprised me with unexpected gifts.

Last year, she gave me this cool old school Movie Camera Necklace (see photo below), and today in the mail, I received this awesome Halloween-themed Movie Projector Toy as a belated housewarming gift for my Hollywood studio apartment...

COPIED FROM MY FACEBOOK PAGE:

I don't like using my page for social/political rants (I try to keep it drama-free as possible). However in light of these recent high profile stories of sexual harassment and misogynist behavior within the Entertainment Industry (take your pick: Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, The Cinefamily and Alamo Drafthouse fiascos, the list...

RED WHITE and BLACK - my favorite color scheme. Hell, they're the primary colors of my apartment! Diggin' the new STAR WARS poster design just now released by Disney/Lucasfilm!

The new trailer above may have shown a little too much, or it's all clever misdirection! We know for sure in December!!!

MY THOUGHTS AFTER VIEWING:

I enjoyed it very much. A great epic documentary on Spielberg's personal and cinematic life as told by Director Susan Lacy and her co-Producers Jessica Levin & Emma Pildes

I had been wanting a memory foam mattress for longtime, but I was very picky about what I was looking for.

(The mattress arrived sealed in an airtight bag and rolled up inside this box - see...

A friend of mine who took the photo of Dario Argento and I back in 2010 managed to snap this photo from Monday night (October 2, 2017), as Dario entered the packed theater to a standing ovation, shown here with the back of my head in the foreground! Ha! 😎

Sunday night's 4K Restoration screening of SUSPIRIA was amazing, especially with the new BOOMING surround sound that evenly presented Goblin's infamous score and the film's dialogue & ambient background sound effects! It was definitely a brand new audio/visual experience viewing this film on such a large canvas with multiple speakers everywhere!

Synapse Films' did an excellent job at editing all of...

Sunday night at the 4k Restoration screening of Dario Argento's SUSPIRIA, I also picked up Goblin's score for the film, via the new limited edition Red Vinyl with gatefold cover from Mondo! Love the layout and blue color scheme!

The following night, I was able to get one of the t-shirts being sold as well that evening for the 35mm Italian Language cut
