Well folks, this is something that's been on my mind for quite a long time which was brought up by some threads you probably know and love.
On the evil that is SG...
I'm confused by people who get so worked up about getting kicked off of SG, whether they be members or SGs themselves. The last time I checked I had a life and...

No no, the party hasn't happened yet. We still have to finish our theses.
But I can assure you I will never go to a cooler party in my life, and neither will you.

Reading your journal entries can be a frenetic and somewhat overwhelming experience, though certainly an interesting one. You portray an extremely prolific lifestyle, which can make others feel inferior about theirs, which in turn can lead to intimidation.
I've just finished a few months worth of your journal, and I'm not sure what I feel, though my brain feels kind of numb. I think I need a drink.

Note to self: do not update while drunk.

I started TeXing my thesis today in the library. It took me a while to get started because I found out after I got there that I didn't have all the proper things that make TeXShop work. So there went a half hour. Then I had another minor techincal difficulty where when I pressed the "LaTeX" button the pdf that came up was blank. After...

I am trying to remember the last time I had an interesting dreams like that..................*sigh* it must be the curse of being the only one out of my siblings who doesnt have hands on artististic talent, I never remember my dreams and the ones I do I am sure are not as interesting as yours (except when I was a kid, I rememeber me and my friends being the Ateam and then being instantly transported to more and more weird scenarios until the last thing I remember in the dream was getting tucked into a dresser drawer to go to sleep).
Hmmm math thesis eh, if I were to explore my capabilities in math I would explore the Imaginary number sets and finite number sets.
This songs is a dedication from the Rheostatics for your beautiful day:
Yellow days
under a lemon sun
dont seem so special
till their long gone
and arive here again
Yellow days
as cummulous candy float by
sweet air a wonder to sigh
to breathe like youll
never breathe again
Yellow days
rasberry waves flow over you
helps you to hurry things
still left to do
So you can return here to swim

Yesterday. Last night. Sick. Second birthday party in a row. At one point I had a martini in one hand and a pabst light in the other. You didn't even know they made pabst light, did you. Liar. I actually got sicker during the party, and I thought I was on the upswing. Fucking lame. When I woke up this morning I sounded like Gollum....

What's the deal with me going to bed at 3:30 and then waking up at 9:30, unable to get back to sleep, on a fucking Saturday?! Gah.
Last night I was at a birthday party and had a few beers and dunx and I ended up (for a reason I couldn't even remember after the second hit) butting heads a few times, which was fine,...

Why is it that the things we often want the most (both material and intangible) are those that we cannot have? Is the value in the unattainability? But where is the value if one'll never have it? Or what if one does get it, does it become less valuable, or does one become fulfilled? And then what?

Al, what is it that you want? More to the point, I suppose, what can't you have?
communistcanuck:
Their are very few things that are unattainable, the work involved keeps them unnattained by the pessimistic heart.
The unexpected complications when things attained feeds the thought patterns of a cynics brain.
When the intangible becomes material, it become normal and the new ideas form and create the intangible, this is the conceptual cycle.
The value of intangible has only value through what the conceiver gives the intangible.
Material items have their own independent value, thus when the intangible becomes material it value may not be symmetrical to what was originaly conceived.
"What is it when you see a person's beauty?"
The spirit taking hold of you as it fights for your soul
"What exactly is it that you want?"
Connection
"Do you feel the need to hold possesion?"
With less security in life brings more need for possesion
"Where is the love in that?"
Love can exist in these, if you can work in the expressions to share, if what is concieved can bring its own life to the expression.
This is love to me.

On the walk home today I saw 4 different hair ties on the ground, one of which I recognized as mine.

After four leafs, they stop being clovers and start being strato-moss from beyond the stars. Like that shit from Creepshow with Stephen King.
