Heyoka is back, I missed him.
Its nice to read his journals because he is often able to express my own feelings better than I...
I am still trying to fit back into the placement where I exist here in Seattle. On a daily basis, many many times since I have returned from Italy, I have become overwhelmed by the urge to GO. Since experiencing...

Its a beautifull sunny day! I am going to pick Kiley up and head down to the fountain at Seattle center to play in the water or maybe head to the park and follow my ears until we find drums and play a little frisbee

Wow... you're one of the few people I know who knows of and likes High Art. That's one of my favorite movies.

It's 4:11am. Miguel and I just got home from a job he was working on shooting a big huge yacht. It was pretty cool, I arrived around 9pm and watched he and Neil set up lights and took pics, talked to the captain for a while about his adventures and then ate dinner that the chef was nice enough to make us.
...and then, I...

You seem to lead quite any inspiring, yet tranquil life.
I am so happy for you, you seem to have found a life balance that many of us strive for, but can never seem to obtain. Please send some of your mojo my way. If it has to be rubbed physically person-to-person, I will be on the next flight to Seattle. Please tell me that is the case!!!!!

Symmetry again. It's been a lazy day out this way as well. I've eaten well, slept well, and refreshed the SG Survivor page far too many times in order to see what was up.
Rain is amazing, no? Yesterday it was thudding down here, rain and hail. I walked outside and a neighbor hailed me down. (Forgive the pun.) I think he was just making conversation in order to convince his dog that I was a friend. What he said was this: that it was set to hail again in another hour and not to be out of doors then. I opined that it was good to see a bit of drama out of M. Nature every now and again, and he half agreed and half thought me crazy.
Today: Clear, clear, clear, heavy rain and thunder, clear, clear.
Next up: Settling in with a mug of tea and a book of antiquated lectures on artificial intelligence.

It was a fan-subbed version of "Kiki's Delivery Service" that introduced me to Miyazaki, and holds a special place in my heart to this day. His final film and his 'no wait, this is my final film' are unusual in that I can watch them repeatedly. Most movies, no matter how much I love them, are experiences that I want to have only once and then move on. Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away are thus somewhat unique.
I share your complaint with television. It doesn't matter how brain dead the show is - I can't stop looking at the flickering screen. There is good stuff out there, though. A few of my favorites I've acquired on DVD so I can watch them on my Mac's and avoid going brain-dead in the process.
Oh, and good call listing Dr. Seuss in your personal classics of western literature. I should have thought of that...

welcome back beautiful!!
papawheelie:
hi blyss!
how was your trip?
how was your trip?

Hmm, I feel the exact same way (surprise, surprise) though I think you are about a week or two ahead of me. I can already feel the unrestrained wanderlust lapping at the floodgates. I've learned long ago how futile it is to suppress these feelings. Sometimes I need to leap the world's ties completely for a long period of time; a world that I'm only half connected to anyway. If I do not, this world's half is useless.
The last time this happened, was three years ago, almost to the day. I received this message from my friend K:
Subject: i did it!
Body: so when do we leave?
And then it was on.
What do I want to do with my life? It's a difficult question with an answer that is not the same as it was 5 years ago, or 5 before that. I believe my life has a distinct purpose, though it is not clear yet what this is. I can only see glimpses of it from time to time. Until this becomes clear, my goals are simple. I want to love and be loved, as these are the most important things to me. I want to live with accountability for my words and actions. I want to leave no one in my wake; to never hurt anyone intentionally, and act with responsibility when it's unintentional. To live with faith in life's hidden undercurrents, always. To never give up.
But as Thomas Wolfe said, ``You cant go home again.''
