My main character (3.5/PF1e) has a definite day job and rents a slum apartment, acting as a sort of brain trust and divination expert for the rest of the party. He will be conjuring a Quasit familiar at 7th level (via Improved Familiar feat ofc) to get weekly free use of the Commune spell, and already figured out how he can suss out very detailed info from the yes/no format proscribed by the mechanics of the spell. Campaign is on hiatus, but if it ever picks up again, he'll be generous AF helping the other party members fill their magic item slots. Gotta watch out, I suspect that familiar will do it's best to lure him from a soft Chaotic Neutral (one step away from familiar's alignment) all the way to CE with his vices - hope my DM has the chops to play at that!!

Had a gnomish druid once who could have been considered Neutral Evil to some. He would conduct experiments on, study, and dissect animals to figure out how their bodies worked so he could more effectively and convincingly pull off a wild shape. A scientific Druid, not very concerned about maintaining the natural order of things. Probably considered by other Druids to be evil.

Also had a Halfling rogue once that obtained a Fang of Lolth. His schtik is that he had a bag of tricks. He'd open a door in a dungeon, toss a ball in, then close the door and wait for the noise to die down. Cleared out several rooms that way.

I have so many ideas, but never enough campaigns to implement them...
