Last night I was listening on audiobook to a famous sci-fi story by Ray Bradbury called "There Will Come Soft Rains." The story was written in 1950 and concerns an automated suburban house that continues its daily routines even though the family it serviced has been vaporised in a recent nuclear war. Guess when it is supposedly set? AUGUST 4, 2026!
