I just saw "In Her Shoes" **** ... This was really, really good ... I don't really go for chick flicks usually but this was directed by Curtis Hanson (LA Confidential, 8 Mile) and had great writing and wonderful acting ...

It was really nice to see Shirley McLaine and …

I haven't read the book but I liked the movie. Good character development in the script and Toni Collette did a great job. Cameron Diaz made me hate her a little bit so I guess she did a good job as well.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, eh. Well, Texas pitching has most definitely been broken over the last several years. Nolan wants to change all that. He wants to go back in time. He proposes to get rid of pitch counts and thinks that pitchin on four days rest …

I like what Nolan Ryan is trying to say. Pitch counts should not be the be-all, end-all measure of a pitcher's ability to get outs in a game. If he's throwing well, leave him in.

Steroids will not help anyone hit .400.

30 wins is a thing of the past. Hell, 20 wins practically is! Long live Denny McLain!
fuck:
Personally I think most pitchers these days are pussies to be honest. I mean even here in Detroit where you had pitchers like McLain and the Byrd, we also pitchers like Joel Zumya who "injure" themselves playing fucking Guitar Hero. Seriously guys? You make how much? Shut the fuck up and play. Rule #76: No excuses. Play like a champion!

edited to add:
I also think Pitchers should be able to bat as well. This American League shit has got to go.

In a recent interview with for GQ, rapper and actor Ludacris, aka Chris Bridges, gave a shout out to a special lady he would love to work with sometime soon. No, it wasnt to do a mash up with some hot young hip hop chica, but rather to …

And that's why Ludacris is so, so cool.

Good for him! That's awesome. Shirley Maclaine was quite the rough and tumble girl in her day. smile

In the unlikely case that someone actually looks at this.

My book, The Life of a Thief, was published last year by a teeny, tiny publisher based out of the state of Maine. You can find it here:

http://www.amazon.com/Life-Thief-Romance-David-McLain/dp/0984421971/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1284604641&sr=8-2-spell

If you buy the kindle version, its a whopping three bucks.

I never really know how to explain my book, as its thoroughly odd. I suppose...

David McLain graduated from Purchase College, where he directed a production of William Shakespeare's The Tempest. His stories have appeared in over a dozen magazines, including: Harvard's Dudley Literary Review, Gator Springs Gazette, Paumanok Review, Bellowing Ark, and the Taj Mahal Review. He lives in Western Massachusetts.
So, I made a new music video for my new song, and got some geek-celeb friends to cameo, and some geek-celeb non-friends to cameo. Like, Ellen McLain (voice of GLaDOS) Rob Paulsen (Voice of Yakko, Pinky, Raphael) The Nostalgia Critic, Ali Spagnola, etc.

It's a fun video, mainly about the Guild by Felicia Day, using mainly World of Warcraft references.

enjoy!
In the time it's taken me to finish my book, almost every literary magazine I've ever been in has gone the way of a dodo, here are few that can still be found:

One of the only non fiction pieces I ever published, last month in Grumble Magazine:

An old one from the Paumanok Review. One of the longest pieces of fiction of mine...
