Love your new hair style and color too! :) <3 To your question, well, I'm always very respectful of people's privacy, so if I would see somebody with headphones, that for me is the sign to stay away. Even for example at work I would wear my noise canceling headset, that's a sign that I need to do concentrated work and it's not the best time to be disturbed. So if I would see you with headphones, I would give you the distance you are signaling.

Since I am not comfortable approaching people anyway, I would definitely not approach someone who was giving indications of being in their own space.
