well...quinne's new set is up...goddamn! she is one cute chickie. but i think she may have filled her pink sparkly wall quota.
in any case, i think she's fabulous.
today, everyone at work had a serious case of the mondays with the time change. the day seemed to go by really fast, but everyone was miserable. me and the other firsthand on my team got yelled at b/c our draper had pulled out a mockup of something we're building (and this mockup had a HUGE mistake in it with the fabric going two different directions), and immediately assumed that the two of us somehow had made the mistake, when in fact we had not.
oh yeah, a mockup (in case you are wondering) is when you make a garment using a cheap fabric that you can cut up or draw on in when you fit it to the actor. that way, you don't ruin the expensive fabric it's supposed to be made out of. in this particular case, it was a pair of tights. red velvet tights, with gold ribbons criscrossing up the legs.
anyway...i'm really tired.
here's a hypothetical question...if someone superior to you at a job requested that you do should something that you felt would compromise your personal integrity, while indicating that there would be no repercussions, and that you would be backed up on it if need be, and it was something that would ultimately harm no one and yet benefit yourself, would you do it? (totally hypothetical, i swear.) i feel like on one hand, the ned flanders inside me would be like, "heck no diddly oh, i'm not going to do it." but on the other hand, there's a part of me that feels like it would be idealistic and naive not to, especially if no one is going to be hurt.
the "real world" can be so cruel, so dog eat dog, so survival of the fittest...it seems like there's pressure to just go with the flow regardless of where it's flowing. but if people did what was right, even if it was a pain in the ass, wouldn't the world be a better place, at least a little bit?
it's a pickle, i know.
anyway, i've got a new issue of marie claire to read. there's an interesting article about japanese workaholic women who use a service to de-virginize themselves. it's actually taking my attention away from suicide girls. hhm!

Your job sounds pretty interesting, I take it you work at a theatre or something?
As to your conundrum: It would depend on exactly what it was, but sometimes you've got to break the rules to get on, but also be aware that you may have to pay the price. Is the price worth the deed?
I do believe in having principles and sticking to them.
