I took a medical leave from work for 2 months for my Mom. I was in Washington for the entire time staying with my grandparents. It was all on me to do everything, make decisions and come back to tell my grandparents the news of everything. It was so unfair. I also got some shit from work and my roommate at the time for taking the time off. People suck.
It's definitly something that needs to be done when things happen. You need your time and space to think things through and just get your head together. No one can expect someone to go through something to rough and still continue on with their normal day to day life.
