Ok really???
So about two weeks ago I was logging in to my bank. For the first time it asked me a security question. I answered wrong the first time, thought I misplelled it and got it wrong a second time. I was then locked out of online banking. I found the link to unlock it, but it was down that day. The next day I went back and it asked me the same question, which I answered and got wrong. When I saw that I then realized that I had never set up that question to be answered. The next attempt to use the unlock link told me I had not set up a security question. WTF?!?!?! How can you lock me out based on a question I never set up! I go into the bank and sit there as they call themselves as that is the only way they do it. I left with it unlocked and able to go into my account.
I was thinking about it right now that I should go in and setup those questions. Well... After I input my password it asks me a new security question. Once again I stop and think how the hell? But... Its something simple and they could have asked it when I first set up my account as it's my brothers name. Apparently I don't know My brothers name! Im f'ing locked out again!
I have had nothing but bad luck with banks. Granted, this is the most tame out of all my issues. I'm not out any money, banned from having a card, or had a scam run on me. I can almost understand if I was out to scam banks having so many issues, not just living. Let's see...
BofA: One small $2 overdraft ended up costing me many thousands of dollars in NSF fees. Oh, and it was a closed account... and the transaction happened physically in France while I was at work. Plus many other issues.
Wells Fargo: Refused to close my account then started charging me to keep it open. Pay them off over and over but yet still open?
PFF Credit Union: One accidental misdeposit. Put the stub instead of the check. Went in the next day when I realized it and get told I am banned from ever being able to have a debit card from them or any one they are in association with.
Wachovia: My first deposit was a paycheck. In the first week they told me it bounced and charged me $40 for it and $40 for NSF. Find out that they took the money out of the payroll account then two days later gave it back? WTF?
