this was written my other journal....
the show was May 21st..

forcing Shane to go see Social Distortion and be my degsinated driver....we got there early so i could start drinking early so i didnt have to waste all of my money on expensive bar beer.

i poured my 40 into a cup so i could walk around.

Against Me was playing at one of the other places affiliated with The Chance so all of our friends were outside there...we hung out with them for a while then went and stood in the Social Distortion line.

i bought a shirt. proceeded to get drunker and drunker. watched Lost City Angels...they kinda sucked.

watched The Eyeliners, which i was happy about seeing since i was familiar with their stuff.

then Social Distortion.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i manuvered my way front stage dragging Shane behind me untill finally i was up front.

they were fucking amazing...as always.

Mike Ness swaying his hips playing for all us horney girls in the crowed. i do think that the guy next to me wanted to fuck Mike more than any girl in the buliding though.

i somehow ended up with the set list...?!?

after they were over i went to the car to grab the camera, and we waited outside the bus untill Mike finally came out.

i think i was the 3rd person to go up to him...i was such a drunk idiot...i have no idea what i said other than "you guys have been my favorite band for 12 years" and "Mike, i am lame and i want you to sign my arm so i can get it tattooed on me". he signed it slow and readible. Shane took our picture. i told him thank you, gave him a hug and kissed his neck!



WHY IS IT THE 2 TIMES I MEET THE MAN I AM SO FUCKING STAR STRUCK THAT I ACT LIKE A RETARD??!?!???! how many famous people have i met that i have so much respect for and i can talk to them like a normal person, and both times i have to fuck up when meeting Mike fucking Ness...DAMMIT!!!

ok..here is me and Mike....i look like fucking shit in the picture..Mike looks perfect as he always does!



so we hop in the car...i have to give Shane druken directions home. for fucks sake Shane...you have lived up here your entire life...Poughkeepsie is only 30mins away...we go there about 1 time a week...how do you not know how to get home from there??!!?!

we make it home. pick up Ash. i put a paper towel on my arm where Mike signed it and taped it up.

wake up next day try to get in touch with Oriana...cant find her anywhere, tattoo shops are booked. still protecting my arm..i give up.

wake up Monday, first thing i call the tattoo shop in Woodstock, they tell me to come in.

i get dressed, grab a sandwich, ice tea, hop in the car..it was about 11:50 when i left...i made it home by 12.30. it was so quick, didnt feel a thing. only cost me $60 which is good for Bruce Barts.



i will be getting something behind it eventually. but i had to get it while i had the chance!



haahaa...i remember that after high school i planned on folowing Social Distortion on tour like they were the Greatful Dead. i think Adolfo and Crystal were going with me
