THAT ... exactly what you said, is what I'm talking about. People treat the expectation of gender/sexual equality as something that's unheard of .... when not too long ago, (literally...what, maybe 40-50yrs?!) Segregation was all the rage. We won't even go back to Jim Crow laws and Christian scripture justified slavery (not saying all Christians believe in slavery, saying how the bible was used to justify it) So people who come at me with a religious agenda lose me right off the bat .... followed by those who base their hate on "feelings". Even if you don't agree w. something, you should remember what Spider-man taught us all ... doing evil to others opens you up to having evil done to you. And yea, I'm using Spider-man to teach a lesson haha ...but people (society) rarely look beyond their own bubbles of existence to see how their actions influence and effect other people. I believe in religious tolerance but is it too much to ask to be free from religious influence?? Where's my tolerance?? Why do I need a religion to be tolerated because apparently, lacking one, I'm still bound by the laws and beliefs of them.
