I have never met anyone with the same birthday. One of my good friends was born on the 26th (same year). We've celebrated our birthdays together for the past 5 years

Holy shit. You list Jellyfish among your favourite bands. I just bought both their studio albums off of ebay this month.

Given your musical tastes, it is now clear to me that I would enjoy Aphex Twin and Autechre, if only I could find their CDs.

And where you been, anyway?

(sigh) I need to stop saying yes to to every gig that comes my way. i think i'm taking the freelance musician bit too far. i have to learn 3 cd's worth of material by monday. so much for a weekend.

My brother's the same way. He'll take weeks of consecutive gigs if the work's there for the taking--and he'll still make sure to get in a couple hours of practice every day. The guy's so disciplined he makes the Dalai Lama look like Pauly Shore.

Well, back after a few months of vacation from this place...had to work out the finances, ya know? Anyhow, got another guitar teaching post, about 25 hours a week. Gigs make up the rest of the bread. It seems to be working for me. I am no longer in a deep financial hellhole, and can actually pay for fucking food!

Hey - I read your post in CE about getting harassed by the cops about not having insurance. My advice to you (and I'm sure he won't like me pimping him out, but here goes anyway) if Reprobate hasn't already posted a response in the thread, leave him a message in his journal to check the thread, and just say you were wondering what his opinion would be about this sort of thing. He tends to know a lot of civil liberties issues.

We've got heads on sticks, and you've got ventriloquists.

See, I approved your friends request, but then I had two zenosdogs on my friends list, and though the possibilities of what I might do with two are really quite mind-boggling I figured I shouldn't take more than I need, what with the economy the way it is, so I deleted one. But then both were gone. And so I sat down and wept, for I had been a fool.
