I buried a friend today.

It was tough and I'm trying to smile through it all but I also realize that I've also become somewhat desensitized to it all, which makes me far from happy. There had been so much loss in the past few years that it's becoming somewhat par for course.
Ugh.
With that said, the services were nice, quiet and well, kind...

Is it wrong that number 8 made me giggle like a small child?

I greatly approve of number 4. People are much more humbled when bare foot. Plus, I hate wearing shoes.

Irritations in painting:

Paint. A tube a good acrylics is the same price as a six pack of domestic beer. I know this could be worse if I were working with oils but, shit, we're talking a six-pack of beer here, folks.

Canvases. Well, they're waaaay cheaper than about five to six years back and they're already pre-stretched and mounted [that's what she said] but...

Funny. My ex turned me on to them also .. I think after breaking up. I'm not sure -- we've been apart for over a year now, but he's one of my best friends. He's actually responsible for about half of my current musical taste, as we've been at least friends or dating for the last .. five years, and I've done a lot of growing and changing in that time. Strange to think about. The music thing, that is. Because I claim most of it for myself now -- as in, no connection. In fact, Blue October makes me think of -his- ex-girlfriend .. more than of him. Strangely.

Someday I want to know the secret band. Lol.

Well hello Mr. Banana, nice to meet you. wink lol
I agree with you 100%. You are exactly right, people have that time to calculate their words and say whatever they want to say. And I am naive and believe the crazy stories, especially when it comes tol ove and the fairytale. (But not when someone is a banana.) biggrin
Instincts suck when they are bad ones. frown

When I was a kid all I wanted to be was Han Solo.

He was, by and far, the coolest. He got to fly all through hyperspace (which was nothing like dusting crops) chill with a huge walking carpet and offer snide one-liners to princesses. I mean, really, how could you get any cooler?
As I got older I realized Luke was kinda cool but...

I just kind of stalked a few of your last blogs.
I think I know someone who can speak Klingon, though they could be bullshitting me. It's a talent they have.
You write really well. I giggled many times.

And a question about playing pollo on bicycles: Is it difficult?

I watched half of saison 2. Back to it this morning. Damn, George Lucas did well. This whole serie is amazing.
I love the idea of the singing telegram for your mother. Yep, let's hope as well she wont call the police or shoot at the singing wookie when opening the door.

I love that feeling of instantaneous dread and apocalyptic foreboding that I experience when I realize I've left my phone somewhere.
It also reinforces my belief that my priorities are incredibly, incredibly well prioritized.

And to add to that dread, I'm out of coffee.

Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.

Long live the fighters....

Phone, found.
Coffee, rectified.
Painting, commenced.

It's all about the Fremen mantras, Miss C.

By the way, I forgot to comment on your diatribes voiced towards horrid drivers; so good. I would pay uber heaps (ew, "heap") of sushi to hear one of those ala "Oh yes ma'am, feel freeee to cut me off, I think it's delightful that you chose to do so! I'm guessing it's due to that aneurysm you had back when you were 14 and shining the shoes of the entire Flintstone clan in order to make a living! By all means, carry on with your day, think nothing of other people sharing the expressway as we're all plebeian scum anyway!"

No, it's not bad. It is kind of funny how immature he was being about it. Cory used the term "shit trumpet" later in that conversation. It was great.

Allow me to preface this gem with the fact that I wear scrubs.
Not 24/7 like some delusional psych ward inmate, understand, but I wear them at work.
I work for a surgeon, see?
I also have to walk a quarter mile from where I park to where the surgery center is along a pretty busy street. Normally I would have my iPod playing but...

Last nights polo was a ridiculous amalgamation of crashes, cocktails and chaos; three C's of which I'm intimately fond of and, coincidentally enough, familiar with.
I also like "Caterwaul" and "Cravat" but I can't figure out how to work them into the above sentence without sounding like a boob.

On the down side; I'm busted up. Sore. Lil' bloody. Lil' bruised. I'm thinking heffe veisens...

We all know that they have a book out that has translated Hamlet into Klingon. Don't act like you don't know because, well, I know that you do. I'm in your brain.
With that said, I want to learn Klingon.
I don't mean I want to go up to other goobers at a sci-fi convention and discuss the mating rituals and gestational period of the...

I had no idea that turtles can breathe through their bum. Do they breathe through their nose too?
zenexistence:
I think it's probably a mood thing. Kind of like, "Wow, I'm not quite in the mood to breathe through my schnoz so the ole' bum sounds great!"

Geez, lady, I would have expected you to know these kind of things.
