Drama.

I fucking hate drama.

Sometimes being a nice guy is a pain in the ass. Maybe I'll turn the 'Asshole Knob' up to 10 and be a total ass. It seems to work better sometimes ...

D- you're the bestest.

Eric - it's actually the opposite.
I'm the new guy on the block at a club and for some odd reason [I'm a rockabilly cat in an industrial/goth club, probably] I get a lot of attention. Add that to the fact that I almost never take phone numbers and never hook up [I'm waaaay past the 'notches on the belt'-phase], I think it's got me tagged as the 'mysterious guy'. I've hung out with a girl or two and as much as I love them as friends, I don't want to take it to the next level. This has caused bad blood, and now I feel like an ass. I respect them way too much to take any type of advantage of the situation.
Gah.
I'm just bummed.
Think I'm going back to bed.

its very rare to meet a member of the opposite sex and be able to have a completely sexual tension free friendship. i've lost so many 'friends' once they realized that i wasnt going to give it up to them.

i never understood that whole "if you wont date me than i dont want to be friends with you" thing....

oh, and scotty dear...
its your flaws i love best about you.
dont ever change

Ever get to that point in your life where you're utterly and totally content -- but you're still missing that certain 'something'?
I'm there now.
I love my job, I love the friends that I have, I love my cat, I love the beer that I'm drinking as we speak [granted, that may well be why I keep saying 'love'] but I realized that I...

scotty...

the similarities between us are startling...

i've been pretty much out of the committed relationship scene for over a year and recently found myself actually wanting one. and no, its not the co-dependance in me. its moreso that i KNOW myself a lot more and feel i could hold my own in a relationship and not compromise so much.

good luck in your search. i hope it leads you to boston...(a girl can wish, cant she?)

Ever had a night that will fester happily in your memory for ages ... ?
Okay, last night would be such a night.
As has been said, ad nauseum, I'm a piercer. The last thing I want to do after work is go home, so I normally end up at a club down in Ybor City -- which is Tampa's crappy attempt at a Bourbon...

"Watch out for those rockabilly guys -- they're trouble."

The above was a statement offered by a passing girl as I was conversing with a female friend outside a club Friday night.
Nice.
There I was being the completely proper guy that I am and I'm pegged as 'trouble' because of a group stereotype.
Granted, it's true that some of us greaser kids are trouble...

All people are wankers.
I like 50s style (a la Jolene etc). Sadly, it hasn't caught on over here. People in England dress like pricks.

Christ, what a spotty picture of me! Someone with picture knowledge know how to clarify it? Looks like I got beat with a rubber hose. Again.

Okay, another piercing story from everyones favorite Floridian piercer:

Here in Tampa there are very few cool clubs to hang out at. One that I do frequent is called The Castle, which basically caters to the goth/industrial crowd but...

Being a piercer is creepy sometimes.
Imagine, if you will, a daughter, mother and grandmother all coming it to get pierced. It was some kind of 'family-bonding' moment, so I got to pierce a girl in her late teens, a lady in her late thirties and then a lady in her 50's -- all from the same family. All navels. All talking non-stop.
And THEN...

Having worked in the tattoo business, I know what you mean exactly. And they'd make me play piercer the days the piercer wasn't there. It was so professional.

Where's that artery run through the tongue, you can see it right, we'll find out!

Great, the 3'O Clock nipple person fainted.

Ad nauseum.

Worse then tattoo clients, a whole nother breed. And we would do horrible things, like bachelorette parties with ladybugs on the toes for all (womit)...

I have a creepier story. imagine this. You've know this girl since she was all of 14 years old. You've met her through her older sisters & all her sisters friends. The sisters & there friends have benn your biggest clients. So finally the day this once 14 years old girl turns 18 she comes to you to pierce her hood. this happened to me a few years back. It was kind of uncomfortable to me because I still had this image of her being 14. But she didn't want to go anywhere else to get it done. I just didn't want her to go to a hacker.

Skinny McGee.
Skinny McGee.
Skinny McGee.
One of the best live acts I've seen in years. A trad rockabilly band, i.e., no drummer, with a singer that can do Cash's voice perfect, no shit. 'Cocaine Blues', woo-hoo. The cat on the harmonica was rippin', too. Bite it, John Popper.
There was enough grease a this joint to lube half of Tampa, it was a riot....

Christ on a crutch, I'm tired. I would never think that body piercing could leave you weary but it does.
I work right by USF, a major university, so each semester I get a new crop of smiling, naive, fresh-from-Mommy-and-Daddy-and-I-want-t-be-different, girlies in to have their bellybutton/tongue pierced.
Granted, they're no different then 70% of the population, but, shhh, don't tell them that -- they're rebelling....

haha... i love those girls who are like "i want to do something rebelious and different. i should pierce my navel". personally i think all those girls should get a tattoo on thier forehead instead saying, "i am living in the early 90's where niravana was the shit and belly-button rings were cool". blah.

ppsstt... i'm still hiding scotty. come and find me.

Aw, shucks, thanks you guys.
Missy and O commenting on my measly journal entry is enough to keep me writing vaguely amusing witticisms on an hourly basis, I swear. Of course, the fact that I just huffed turpentine vapors may also have something else to do with my repeated babbling, but I'm not quite sure.
I wonder if other people actually read these journals as...
