So trying to change patterns and begin new patterns. Working that whole "30 days to habit" thing on various angles. Now adding "very cold" water to the end of the shower routine, agni sari prana breathing to more morning ab workout, daily drawing time, writing time, cleaning time, and others to be named and deployed later. Granted they aren't all going to be started immediately. Too much at once and I am doomed to past patterns of diving in headlong only to come up floating or sinking a couple weeks or days later. Slow and steady progress.
Setting aside standard drawing time is a big priority since I start art school in a little more than a month. In school, I've always had this "I am going to start and stay focused" attitude when classes begin, but then by the fourth week or so I start falling behind then have to play catchup the rest of the way. I am going to counter all that behavior with a pre-emptive habitual strike this time.
So I've been advertising my online jewelry store now for about a week or so. My partner left for a cruise just when I got started. He's the money and I'm the effort, so it will be interesting to discover how he feels about the investment vs returns thus far. We are getting a lot of traffic, but low to moderate sales. We are getting return traffic and I just discovered a large number of sign-ups for our advertising news letter, which due to a recent site redesign by our ecommerce hosting company, I wasn't sure where to look previously so I hadn't realized that so many had signed up.
So I am starting to accept that it's going to be a slow long haul to financial success. We need to build trust and a reputation for deliverying quality products, etc.
I am also moving offices again. This one has a window. and is much nicer than my last which was all about isolation so I get as much done as possible without distractions.
Life is good. Or at least better than I had recently been giving it credit.

Your store sounds like it is very very stressful. Hug* Hmm my grandpa is Buddhist and he always gets me to do that breathing Yoga stuff. Everytime he visits he makes me sit down and mediatate with him. My Grandpas wierd. Hes really kewl though. He called my mom and was like well do you think You all would like to go to a nudist colony sometime in the spring. My mom was like HELL NO and he told her to ask me.
I dont know if I wanna go to a nudist colony with my GRANDPA lol. But my minds still open. lol.
Anyways good luck with the ARt school that you start soon. Sounds like it will be a lot of fun. I would love to see your some of the work you do while your in school.
Funny, I was just reading about it this "morning" in Anatomy of Hatha Yoga, which is a good book but oh-so-thick, kinda highlighting the "little at a time" mentality. I'll read 2 or 3 pages a day every so often, and even if I don't really the whole thing I always learn something new when I sit down with it.
That whole cleaning thing still gets me, though...
