i can't believe it...after all these years, i'm finally out of grad school...turned in my (very overdue) last final paper at 2 a.m. saturday...sat on the stage later that day with a buncha fidgety strangers listening to a painful, 15 point speech by a thai VIP ("what fucking number is he on now??" as i alternate between dozing with my eyes half-open & trying to keep my precariously perched cap from falling off my head)...the thought of never having to pull another all-nighter to write some miserable paper makes my smile glow something unbelievable. now i can actually go to shows again, stop having dinner from the campus vending machines & taking migraine pills like vitamins, & try to have some kinda social life...now hopefully that professor won't give me an incomplete & prevent me from getting my diploma. i keep my fingers crossed..
