Info for our friends...
We do not live on the coast of Texas... If you are worried about Aversin and I because of Rita we live exactly half way between Dallas and El Paso...
We are dealing with a hell of an influx of people, traffic, and other stuff from the coast... Shelters going up like mad here, so fast it is hard to keep up with what is going on...
So... in the short we are fine and if Rita should shift our way I will post again... Our worries are more on the lines of tornados and rain thrown off by Rita...
As for family, we have that way... My cousin in Houston has gone farther into East Texas to my Uncles... This area might see some rain and winds... Sean has some family that chose to stay in Huston and an Uncle who loaded up his shit and left the coast line...
Aversin will be working this weekend at a plant that partially shut down due to Rita... (Opportunity work, had to shut down, can't get it shut down ever to work on it so, may as well work on this stuff while it is down...)
Welp... that is about it for now... going to see what else is going on...

You know...I was saying in passing, perhaps even to chat, I don't know, But when I was growing up in FLA on the Gulf(After we moved down from Ohio) we used to have like "House on the Gill" type shutter deals...You pressed a button, and SLAM! All these steel shutters would slam down and click into place and lock...I pressed it once for fun...Little did I know what consequences I was going to incurr for that little stunt...(I don't think I got the gun to the head on THAT one...) But OH! Were we always talkin about it happenin...The Hurricane routes, the watches...Its CRAZY!
Too much to talk about in here, But the house that we just sold, Our home., was actually the only house left standing in the neighborhood, after a Tornado went through...I have NEVER seen anything like it...Houses that were simply just picked up....and dropped! Creepy, REALLY creepy the first night...
