So I woke up this morning and for the first few seconds was CONVINCED that I was still playing Rock Band with Cherry and her boy. I was lying there strumming away to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers song that was playing on the radio and only gradually did it occur to me that:
1. I wasn't actually holding a plastic guitar
2. I was lying flat on my back and not sitting staring at a tv.
3. The pillow that I was playing didn't actually have a wammy bar, or buttons for that matter.
4. My feet were once again sticking out the bottom of my covers.
Yes those are in order, I was still trying to play the pillow after I knew it wasn't a guitar because yah it was obviously working as the music was still playing and noone was missing anything because there weren't gaps in any of the instruments.
It was very strange as it's not often I have any sense of dislocation when I wake up. I get up knowing who I am, where I am, what exactly I was doing when I fell asleep, that it's time to get up and generally that I don't want to.
