This site has a very odd dynamic to it.
While I have a more than steady social life outside of this site (as I'm sure many do) I have none whatsoever within this community. While I shouldn't care about this, I do. This must be a reflection of the real life me because here I am typing up a self pity post while in a completely content mood. The coffee helps.
Anyhow, the weird dynamic of the site:
Many of the girls here are trying to be Suicide Girls. Power to you. The majority of the guys here are here for the naked women. That's understandable. The social aspect to the site allows everyone to express their taboo side and as well interact with the beautiful people who are here. Okay, so what do you do when you're given an account to this site, don't really care for the naked photos, and just want to be social. It's an outlet for sure, but one which is odd when you're wanting others to read what you're saying. To get friends I need to put myself out there. That's like real life, where you're thrust into a new country and don't know anyone. Got it. I've tried the chats, tried the forums, but it's hard for me to make friends here. Any tips on how to get people to bite back on what I'm saying?

I spend most of my time here in groups. Find ones that are in your interests and go in there. They are more monitored than the forums and you can often find interesting discussions and join in. Photography, politics, gossip, fashion, movies, art, music genres and then the obvious more sexual ones are always interesting as well.
The groups are interesting, and back in an old life when I engaging with the community here, I was very involved in the poetry section of this site. It was nice, but I've become secretive of my writings again. This used to be a place for me to throw scribbles up and see what people thought of them, but now it's just a place of confusion. I have three months free on the site now and I'm just looking for something to do. I think you're right about getting back into groups, and that's something I should do.
