holy crap. i'm tired. i returned this morning from a short trip to austin, tx with none other than texas is the reason. it was nothing short of heartbreaking to say goodbye to her again. things felt a little more complete in santa cruz when she was here. i'm so happy for this girl yet can't get rid of how much we're both hurting because of distance. 1700 miles. i drove it non-stop on the way back. 26 hours straight. i'm officially the most hardcore motherfucker i know. or dumbest. i'm suffering from no doz cramps/pains/blah! gross times.
austin was beautiful though. i really enjoyed it there but missed a couple REALLY good shows. the power and glory were there when i was but i didn't want to drag a bunch of kids who hate hardcore to a ninja fight. yesterday night evergreen terrace/strung out played. tonight it's recover and the rise. gosh darnit. got some new vinyl though as well as some great new cds. i also mastered the art of reading while driving. jealous? you should be.
the rumors are true. snapcase IS breaking up. boo-urns. but the good news....i just got a plane ticket to buffalo, new york at exactly the same time they're playing. what are the odds? holy cow this show is going to be worth remembering. one of my favorite hardcore bands...going, going, gone...and then it's a ten hour bus ride over to nyc to be with new york state of mind. and amidst the crushes and hardcore there will also be my 20th birthday. jesus, i'm old.
