Do I need to update my journal?
Yes.

When will I update my journal?
Maybe tomorrow.

Pretty much my whole life has been spent as a love affair with music. Since I was a kid and used to play-sing along to my Mom's 45s to the "broke times" when I scrounged together change to pay for a new album, to times when I passed on potential gfs because our musical tastes were not in sync, music has pretty much dominated my...

Yeah, I've had A Wild and Crazy Guy on vinyl for about five years (I took it from my dad) and then I bought a used vinyl copy of Let's Get Small a year or two later. He's tied with Mitch Hedberg as my all time favorite comedian. They're both so absurd.

And congratulations on the iPod. Mine died not too long ago, but I'm looking to buy a new 60 gig soon.

I would suggest that you get one model where you can put enough music to last you, lets say a week or two week of musical pleasure (not of continuous play, I meant enough to last you while of listening, lets say 5 or 6 hours a day), because you can then update your Ipod content, you can add stuff and take stuff out, etc. The thing is that you will always be getting new music, so that eventually even the 30 gb model will be filled, in probably less than a year, if you get as much new music as I do, so I would suggest that you consider how much music do you want to have on you on a single week or two weeks instead of getting an Ipod to store ALL your music. I have a 20 gb ipod, and it suits me great!! I have too music, enough so that I would probably need more than one of the biggest Ipod's, instead I own an external hard disk where I store a lot gb of mp3's so that I can do my updates constantly.
Hopefully all that serves you to make a good decision. smile

Well, you can add stuff from your fav artists first, or just about artists you want to hear soon, also you can add stuff by album or by genre, etc. It is not hard work, actually, I find it to be fun, the only thing that takes some time is turning all your albums into the mp3 format, but you can do that when you do other stuff with your computer, also, I would suggest that you get an external hard disk were you can store all your music on the mp3 format, that way you can add and take stuff out of your pc without filling your computer's own hard disk. Also, another great thing about the ipod is that you can make an almost infinite lists of mixes that you can play on an exact order or with the shuffle feature, and the lists can be of as many songs as you like, currently I am hooked with a 122 songs mix I made two weeks ago smile smile smile So yeah, run and get your Ipod ASAP!

So, below's the 426 songs I bought from iTunes this year so far - Song Artist Album.

As you can see, I went through a Todd phase (but those Bootleg Series CDs sucked -- c'mon Todd, you must have better stuff from the '70s in the vault). I also can't believe I bought the Stereophonics CD - I couldn't take it after 20 minutes. I...

Time for the annual Yo_La_Jimbo Summer Mix. Well actually, this is the first year it's so all official-like, and since this is obviously the best summer mix I could come up with it may be the last, since next year's would have to include songs that didn't make this year's cut.

Anyway,

1. Chicago - Wake up Sunshine
2. The Alarm - Rain In The...

It is! I am one happy monkey.

I have always been a fan of Talking Heads as my dad listened to it when I was little. So I guess you could say I rediscovered them. But damn am I glad I did!!! love
chocolatejesus:
So, did you get Seinfeld S4 yet? I'm a little upset that there were no commentaries by Larry David. He was so honest about their work on the other commentaries, I was looking forward to more. frown

yep, warners shut pretty much every c&h site down, until the only ones worth any real credit were the one with (few) single pics and no strips, although it seems laterly they are springing back up again - whether there will be a new wave of warners' cease and desist letters when there are enough of them, i dont know.

thats one of the reason i started the group though - there are loads of pics in the photosets, and so it at least keeps alive one repository of pics for people. smile

It was a messed up weekend, starting with high hopes and ending with a real scare.

The dashed high hopes seem trivial now -- delays and then bad traffic prevented me from going to a Carmen Consoli concert I was really looking forward to Saturday night. She's like an Italian indie-rocker who is just starting to play over here.

Yesterday, Sunday, I called my dad,...

Thanks for your wishes for my dad. He passed away fairly peacefully this afternoon.

I don't know if your dad's anything like my dad, but I thought that one of the most important reasons I was going to make sure we had some care for him was to keep him regular. I thought that if he got up and went to bed around the same time each day that he would sleep better, and if he ate at the same times each day his blood sugar would be more in control. This is mostly intuition, but I stand by my intuition.

Ok, so I got the camera and am figuring it out. I took it on my bike ride today thinking I would get really incredible shots, but I guess you had to be there. The place where I ride to on Key Biscayne is a preserve of sorts, and this time of year you might see crocs out sunning themselves, but no such luck today....
