Well, aside from me being a whiny mcwhiny-fuck, I'm slowly making some teeny tiny progress on the proto-comic I started while in therapy. I'm linking it here, because I still fear the re-size. Comments, suggestions, and hecklers welcome.

Update

I got my SSI rejection letter last week, just as I assumed I would. I haven't felt like writing much lately.

I basically broke down and begged Jaime to help me find the resources to find a disabled-peoples job, somewhere, somehow. I see it as a win-win proposition, either A. I can have some sort of means of supporting myself while I go completely...

Little Blue Room

I think the room might actually be white, but I always think of it as being blue. white reminds me too much of hospitals. It is a negative color. Blue is peaceful. Blue is calming.

Every week I go to the little blue room in a building on a theological campus, for one hour, to talk to a woman who is trying...

My "deep end" artist of choice is Jandek. At that point, I'm usually on meds. whatever

I've done more realistic looking portraits most of my life (I have pages and pages...piles and piles of sketched busts)...I'm just now trying to branch out and do something different.

Here's an example from a while back...although these are all pics from my phone so it doesn't pick up the little details like eyelashes and hairs and whatnot.

Dream Diary: Birthday on the Roof

I dreamnt that I was in large building, that I instinctively knew was a high school-college hybrid. It didn't look very much like either of those places from my real life, but was instead a darker version of the lunch rooms there...actually, it kind of looked like the dining room at one of the hospitals downtown, with earthy tones...

Other people called her Mary. Most people called her by her nickname, 'Dode'. Her gravesite reads- Mae Doris Alvey 'Dode'. She is buried there alongside my father....

Kombat and Politiks

If there is one thing that has caused a lot of misunderstandings amongst my circle of friends and I, especially among my close, geek-knit crew, is that I really don't feel like talking or socializing that much these days. I wave it off, explaining I'm stressed and going through some difficulties right now. I know a lot of people don't read this...

Letter to Sparky About Not Having Dyslexia

I understand you so much better now.

This morning I awoke, with my usual foggy head, to find that Brian had sent me an e-mail saying (at least I thought), that he wasn't going to be here this weekend, and wanted to know if I wanted to run a game in his stead. I groggily replied that no,...

The following is a reply to my friend Shannon, who writes every once in a while from the faraway land of Colorado. Shannon is a very interesting lass, and although we have never met in person I enjoy her virtual company and we have exchanged a lot of friendship over the stress of being crippled folks in modern times. We always leave little questions at...
