So what did I learn this weekend? In one word, humility.
Which is a really good thing in the long run but really sucks while the lesson is being learned. Most of the stuff that was being shown to us were things that I'll pick up in a few more years of Aikido training so I can't beat myself up for my lack of experience but I felt pretty useless as technique after technique was going "woosh" right over my head.
I'm too stubborn to quit but I'd better start applying myself a little more if I don't want to feel this way anymore.
Everyone I practiced with was supernice, even the guy who intentionally wacked me in the foot with a jo yesterday. I wish I was more compotent so they didn't have to walk me through every technique again and again. It must have been pretty frustrating for them even though they were totally patient.
Oh well. Like I said I need to give myself more time. It takes about 10 years to get Shodan( 1st degree black belt) in Aikido and I've only been training for a year. Next year the camp's going to be held in Newfoundland so by then I should be a little more capable. Plus I've never been there so the trip wouldn't be a totall waste even if I'm not much better.

Don't despair, sweetie - I'm sure you learnt a lot this weekend. Despite the overheating.
The Fetish show will be at Lucky (same as the SG Burlesque). I love that bar.
