Hoping things calm down soon.

It's pretty common to fix one thing only to have another issue come up - that happens quite often to me all over the place ranging from past jobs to working on the computer to things happening with a car to problems with things I ordered online. Really isn't much to do but keep on going and wait it out because eventually things fall back into place and there are fewer issues and more manageable ones.

not that late..im the kind of person thats worried or get nervous once someone is 5 mins late and im the type to get all sweaty and worked up when im late lol....

I'm sorry to hear that you're having so much trouble. I hope things get better for you. This weekend turned out kind of sucky for me. Maybe we can hang out next weekend if you're up to it.

What are you doing up so early???

This is really random, but I was cleaning my desk and found something that reminded me about it. The person who went with you to the last event at siamkittie's apartment mentioned she had a mac laptop with a bad power adapter; at the time there was a class action lawsuit pending about them because they had a bunch of issues. I came across a postcard for that class action lawsuit looked into it. Apple has an article on their website that explains what the lawsuit was about and when they will replace the adapter for free. If her mac is older than 3 years she needs to head to an Apple Store or an Apple service provider soon because there is a deadline coming up a week from tomorrow.

Just figured I would let you know so you can pass it along to her in case she hasn't already looked into it.

Seems like I was successful in the dream

I've had dreams involving SG events. Can't remember any off the top of my head but I know that none of them were really out there. I take it as a sign of the role that the site has in my life.

I definitely get what you're saying about working with people who can barely get their work done. Someone else in my department was majorly slacking off, causing me to have to do extra work because they were spending most of their time at work online looking for a new house. I complained and complained, but nothing got done until IT called their manager to complain about their excessive internet usage.

Congrats on being able to finish school... Hopefully it is the ticket out of your stinky job.

One to be able to take photography class.

I don't know much about cameras so what I want is a good one take photos of hair makeup and models.

I totally feel you on the financial struggle I've been on the job hunt already.

There was enough historical things to see, but not much in terms of actual tangible buildings - it was mostly fields and things in museums. Definitely some interesting and historically relevant things to see.


The investigations fortunately won't really have a direct effect on me or my department since they all are looking at the sales organization. Not that big a deal and it's not like the feds are going to come in and talk with me either.

The really odd part of it all though is that earlier this month I thought about it and became concerned about the company's long term prospects - based on how things are going, things did not look good 2-5 years from now. That's kinda the downside to smaller companies - you know everyone and it's a nice place but not as stable as a large company. Fortunately time is on my side since they haven't even found a buyer yet. Once that happens there will be a few months before things transition and layoffs begin so fortunately it's not like I will walk in tomorrow and be told that I'm no longer needed.
