Can you control it/did you decide it? Doesn't this mean the same thing?

It can be strong sometimes- powerful and wise, the flow of life. But it comes at such an enormous price. The petty, boldface lies and betrayal only serve as an undeniable reflection of how silly this all is- and any time you begin to feel something you've been longing for finally begin to come within your grasp, you are reminded of how little difference it even makes, and the fact that no matter how far you ever get, it will always be one step ahead of you- waiting to shit all over you the second you begin to catch up.
