my mum is a safety nut... she is so protective of us... so when my little brother started walking she childproofed the house to within an inch of our lives.... in every room every door frame she had these foot high child fences to keep my brother nicholas in..... oh and she also had these devices on all of the cupboard doors and drawers that would prevent you from opening the cupboard more than an inch until you undid the safety latch and then you could open it....
well I hate wearing shoes... its my biggest hate in the whole world.. and this is australia... beach culture pool culture... we had a big swimming pool.. and slowly but surely we all got prettyquick at opening the cupboards and jumping the hurdles that were everywherre in the house.... well..... one day shoeless of course... I jusmp one of hte hurdles and 2 of my toes get caught in the rungs of the fence and just SNAP! I broke 3 all at once.... so yeah that was the first injury...... I did the same thing on the other foot due to me being maimed and clumsy anyway and then I mashed the pinkie toes under one of the hurdles to top all of the toes off.... so I didnt break my big toes which was a godsend...... but the amount of times we got caught by the childproof locks on the cupboard doors and had our fingers sprained and slammed in them was uncountable..... I was baout 12 when my brother was born and my sister was 9..... sure the baby was fine but we were all limping around with broken toes and black and blue fingers
