So the drill weekend and NABSU 0170 are officially over. But the only part that I really care about is "where am I going now?" I talked to VFA-201 and they had a full AT shop, so no luck there. Went over to VR-59 and there were no ground billets (wrench turners, like me), but this one Senior Chief was trying to sell aircrew like a recruiter lying to new sailors. Hey, dude, I'm prior service and I know what TAR means and what it all entails. Don't lie to me like to these non-prior-service reservists that don't know their head from their ass in the Navy. 
At the end of the business day, NABSU was completely cleared out of its spaces and most of us are still left wondering where we're gonna go. The good news is that a set of orders will be sent to us all within the next couple weeks with the new unit we will be each assigned to. Hopefully, a VFA-201 or VR-59 billet opens up magically for me. Wishful thinking, though.
Fuck the Reserves. I'm still gonna go active duty as soon as this fucking college degree is done, and it's not soon enough.
