I'm an uncle!

My brother and his wife just had a baby girl - they're both doing fine.

But I forgot what my niece's name is. smile

I think I'll let 'em get some rest, they've both been up for more than 24 hours already.

another good word is Tulle, the name for a type of net fabric, since when you say,
"I need to buy more tulle." it sounds like tool, and welntaod says then "Honey we already have all the Tool available. "

Gods, I'm bored.

Could read more "Zodiac", but I feel more like *doing* something.

I sure don't feel like messing with "bills of materials" in Access again. Whoo. Joy. Rapture.

And I *definitely* don't want to go to the casino again.

Dinner at the Outback? Movie? Hm..

I loved Snow Crash. Cryptonomicon was awesome too.

Got started on the books because of their cameo in Uru.

Of course the bastards cancelled Uru Live, but oh well.

Neal stephenson is awesome-- I love "in the beginning was the command line" or whatever it's called. Also, of course, snow crash.
I tend to get exceedingly verbose when it comes to the tengwar/quenya
so here goes:
The tengwar in my profile pic say tariel elenion. so you got nearly the whole second word-- the i and o tehtar are smushed next to each other.
the first word tariel has the characters [tinco] with the a tehtar on top-3 dots in a triangle then [romen]with the i and e tehtar on top then [lambe]
tariel is a made up word--i.e. I made it up- tari-means pl. queens and -iel is the suffix in names meaning daughter of. elenion means of the stars in quenya, as seen in frodo's speaking in toungues frases in shelob's lair. In the books it's in the two towers in the movies it's in ROTK Frodo says: Aiya E`rendil elenion ancalima!" Elen is star, elenion is the pl. genitive--roughly of the stars. or Hey! Erendil, brightest of the stars! I forget what the real translation is and I'm too lazy to look it up.
I tend to be a bit free with my tengwar, since I think it's an art like caligraphy, and if you've ever seen some of the fancier caligraphy, you know what I mean.

Been a while.

Over that damn cold, finally. so no I can get back to business (whatever that is).

I've been playing with XUL lately (THERE IS ONLY ZOOL) - what bliss!

I like that you can build UI's without worrying too much about nudging bits pixel by pixel; trying to get them to align properly.

I'm thinking about playing with something to compile XUL...

I'm constantly reminded that I need to purchase more anime...this is another of those moments. Spending time in proximity to dealers' tables at a sci-fi con this weekend was another. I haven't had a lot available to steal/borrow since seeing Fist of the North Star in high school...how sad is that? whatever
