Just came across this, my hat is off to you friend! I feel these words completely. I, like you, haven't been lucky with love. One girlfriend my whole life, every time I think about that it astonishes me. It doesn't help that I freeze around pretty women, like I'm scared of them or something. But that's life. Can't have it all. It could be worse, I could have had six shitty relationships. I love your empathy, it's something lacking in today's society. I've been through my own hell and have my demons, but what really makes me tick is helping others. I know I'll get through the tough times, but what I love is to make someone else's day, or in general make their life better/easier/more fun. I feel like that is what being human is all about, coming together and helping make each other better people. And also helping each other through tough times. Because life is rarely easy. Anyways, enough rambling. Kudos again, great blog.

Thanks @flare04. Life is rarely easy, indeed, and helping people get through things you've already seen or just know are rough patches makes a world of difference. I don't know how many times I did get through something, but having someone to at least watch over me for a moment would have made things that much easier. We just have to stick around and show leave that hand out for when people choose to grab on and get back up. Little by little it'll make worlds of difference for them and even people that surround them.
