@gadget I can't "duck walk" so I'm a mad toe stopper. I bounce around on them like Tigger a lot. I lean a little too much with my run so it doesn't last more than a few steps, but it's always how I get quick speed or bust through packs. Toe stops are my jam. Getting used to not using them was awkward, but it helped me position my feet a little bit better... I would actually love to do this more often so we could learn to rely less on toe stops and more on some actual footwork. It will actually help much of my team immensely.

First day on roller skates and first derby practice in almost 5 months?! No toe stops. Practice led by the absolutely beautiful, heavy French accented, insanely talented Canadian named Miracle Whips. I missed having wheels on my first and crushing on a girl in person. I'm an idiot, but I hated work, but had the best two hours of my life over the past 6 months. (For the record, nothing is going to happen between us and that's okay, buy my gaaawd is she beautiful.)

Amazing and great blog, once again. Thank you for sharing so much, it really touches me, each of your lines touch me. You are a precious person ; always offering time to hear and listen. your advices are always good and true. I don't think I would be the person I was today if it wasn't for some of the depression and panic I felt over the years. Even 10 years ago I still wasn't quite the same".. here is a line among so many here that echo what I live and you know it my friend. Music, and you know this too, saved me many times, so many times that I can't even picture how important it is to me, just like you. These times, it has not this effect on me; each time I pick up a song or a band, it brings me to places where I don't want to be. Silence is worse, I bet you guess. Tv is on, almost all day long but I don't watch it : it brings this slight noise and vibe on which I don't focus on… It breaks silence. You and I.. so close, so far. But let me tell you this once again ; you truly are a great and wonderful human being. You make this little spot in space called Earth shine with your simple presence on it.
